The 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander adds a new base LE trim, bringing the starting price down by nearly $2500 to land at $42,310. The LE trim can be optioned with the standard engine in FWD or AWD or with the Grand Highlander Hybrid's 2.5-liter four-cylinder and two electric motors.
The Grand Highlander also gains a new Nightshade trim that adds black accents to the grille, mirror caps, and wheels.
It'd seem the stop sale on it (along with Lexus TX) has been remedied

Does anyone know when it’ll be available for purchase?

I’d love the nightshade model, but it’s not coming to . 😢

I’m looking at getting the Limited hybrid (Cloudstorm colour) in Canada. Msrp isn’t out yet, but the preliminary price from the dealership is $69,999. I’m trading in a 2023 RAV4 XSE w/ tech package. I just want more space.

Interesting that in Canada, we had the LE model for 2024 but on the configurator it is gone and now the XLE is the base
PNF2187@reddit
We never had an LE Grand Highlander for 2024 in Canada.
We did have non-hybrid LE Highlanders, but that seems to be missing for 2025.
blchpmnk@reddit
ah my mistake, I mixed up the Highlander & Grand Highlander

Are you Jack Fitzgerald? Outside of this being your "article" and you wanting clicks to put money in your pocket... I can't fathom who would read this and think 'Reddit will be very interested to discuss this'
blchpmnk@reddit
You can't fathom why the 19th-best selling vehicle in the US would interest anyone? In most areas it has a waitlist.
That's an...interesting thought process...
jrileyy229@reddit
The /cars community is going to be super excited to discuss a new stripped out entry trim level is added to the lineup?
A trim level that probably nobody is actually going to be able to get because they're just going to continue to build the trim levels with more profit margin built in just like they've been doing the last few years?
Cool, how do we turn that into a discussion hundreds of people are going to find stimulating?
blchpmnk@reddit
If no one at all cares about it, then it'll just die on the vine...I don't get how the immediate reaction to it is "you must be the author of this article".
If you post supercar news here, everyone complains that its unattainable and irrelevant to the average person...if you post news about one of the best-selling vehicles you'll be told you're a shill...

They're just a lousy troll that doesn't understand this sub. Plain and simple.

At the very least, posting the article in here is informative. There could be some people browsing reddit who aren't into cars much, and this could help some people out who were shopping for 3-row crossovers. It doesn't hurt anything, even if the discussion here is quite minimal.

This is a cars subreddit. This article is about a car. Why would someone not post it??
Btw, I read this article yesterday when C&D first published it.

My in-laws picked up one of these earlier this year. It was HARD to get at MSRP.
Prior_Mind_4210@reddit
Gas versions are regularly 2000 to 4000 off. But some dealers are very stubborn and still charging above MSRP. Just go down to the next Toyota and get below MSRP.
The hybrids are different. If you get one for MSRP. You did good.
ghostboo77@reddit
I am going to strongly consider the gas LE version if I can get 2-4k off. Toyota dealers tend to suck though
ZetaZebra@reddit
There's no gas grand highlander in the US
quantum-quetzal@reddit
Incorrect. A quick glance at the Toyota website shows both gas and hybrid models for the US.
TryingSquirrel@reddit
I'd be interested in the hybrid base model.
I took a look at the hybrid last year before the stop sale and rather liked it. The front end seemed unnecessarily beefy, but that seems to be the style. What I really want is a minivan with a bit of ground clearance, but they don't exist from the factory and this seems to be the closest option as an SUV Sienna counterpart. I actually liked the rear hatch better for cargo on the Grand Highlander.
One advantage of rhe GH base models is that they come with smaller wheels/more sidewall on rhe tires. That's a plus if you drive a lot of rough or dirt roads.

They didn’t drop the price, that would mean that they reduced the price of the lowest trim 2024 model. Which they didn’t. They added a new trim, and removed things. That’s not a price drop. That’s called adjusting price because you adjusted the included features
altimax98@reddit
Sounds to me like they added the LE to sell to rental car agencies like they did with the OG Highlander. It’s not really a model most people should be buying.
