frogsvsaliens@reddit
I don't think they season their burgers tbh.
dart22@reddit
I'm surprised this is that far down. Their burgers have always blown me away.
Crazy_Ad_91@reddit
Service has always been hit or miss for me at RG.
Version_Popular@reddit
Service at Casa Linda is spectacular all the time, Design District has been hit or miss for us.
theoriginalmofocus@reddit
Our service was ok, the food is ok but gimmicky. Not a big fan of the price either.
Delicious_Hand527@reddit
IMO the burgers are too small, the cheese fries worse than Snuffers, and they used to be overpriced. Now they are normal priced, but the burgers are still a bit small.
dart22@reddit
Have they gotten smaller since the pandemic? I haven't been for about five years, but they used to be almost unfinishable to me, especially if they had the fried cheese layer.
BagelBiteQuasar@reddit
They definitely have. Like, to the point where I once had to point it out to my SO like wtf is this little beef puck. We took a long break from Rodeo Goat after that, recently returned and yeah the burgers are approaching slider territory.
Main_Age_7289@reddit
\^ ordering kids sliders and confused as to why the burgers are small, lul.
jspence19@reddit
Y'all don't eat enough burgers, there are far better burgers than Rodeo Goat.
Now if you said Rodeo Bar, now we're talkin.
RandomRageNet@reddit
Honorable mention: Twisted Root and Haystack
benman5745@reddit
Twisted Root was good before Rodeo Goat came out and did their concept better.
aliquotoculos@reddit
I recently had both and honestly, I prefer Twisted Root D:
Burnmycar@reddit
Twisted Root was good when it opened in 2003
Power_Taint@reddit
Man I’ve had more bad burgers than just even 6/10 burgers at Twisted Root.
General-Carob-6087@reddit
Bodacious is a great burger.
Fragrant-Whole6718@reddit
I love it when it’s good. But a few times it’s been so salty and I love salt. Unfortunately my kids won’t eat there anymore because they’ve been burned.

Depends on what you want, if it’s just a basic awesome burger, Skyrocket or Edmunds. If you want something that’s out there, Rodeo goat.
AggieDem@reddit
Seconding Edmunds. You know it's good because their storefront isn't visible from the street yet they are somehow still killing it.
It's been a while since I've been over there but Ye Olde Butcher Shop is also excellent.
VeeVeeDiaboli@reddit
100% agree. When I lived in west Plano I found Edmund’s by accident, so good. Now that I live in east Plano, the butcher shop is also a go to, but man it’s busy
badfbob1@reddit

Off belt line in Far North Dallas. Haven’t been to the Frisco one so idk about that.

Only the one in north Dallas. Not Ellum. I repeat. Not Ellum
blacktoise@reddit
Gimme a fucking break dude. They’re the same.
scarset@reddit
They're really not, Frankford is the OG and the quality is noticeably better
blacktoise@reddit
I know it’s the OG, I haven’t noticed any difference in quality to the point where I’d say “never go to the deep Ellum location” that’s pretty dumb. The buns are vaguely different, but the meat and toppings are all the same from what I’ve noticed
Dimethyl_Sulfoxide@reddit
I'm seeing a few. Do you mean the one on hall st?
scarset@reddit
Go to the one on Frankford, no other Skyrocket compares
odiamemas16@reddit
Me and my wife go to the one in Deep Elum all the time and we love it

UpInTheAirDFW@reddit
Deep Ellum location makes an awesome burger, no reason to avoid.
unknownfy24@reddit
I’ve heard this by numerous people but I’ve been to the one in Deep Ellum and it’s been delicious every time ¯_(ツ)_/¯
westex74@reddit
Happy Cake Day!
bag_daddy@reddit
I’ve only had this one and it’s been delicious
FTDisarmDynamite@reddit
It's good tasting, but that location is disgusting. I would just get it delivered/to go
Mercy_Rule_34@reddit
it is known.
burberrycondom@reddit
Had it for the first time yesterday, was beyond impressed. Gotta be the best burger I’ve had in Dallas
val913@reddit
I also had it for the first time yesterday and absolutely agree, very good! I also like Maple and Motor near Love field.
Majestic-Ad2328@reddit
Maple and Motor is trash
PutTheDogsInTheTrunk@reddit
I don’t think Maple & Motor is trash, but I also don’t love it. For me, it’s not worth going to now that they’ve given up on the drinkable ice cream machine. If someone wanted to go, I would, but I haven’t sought it out in at least five years.
100oclockDrunk@reddit
You must be a certified trash man and don't have any taste
Majestic-Ad2328@reddit
Maybe it was a bad experience or a bad cook.. but a dash of pepper and salt doesn't season a burger well..
Hurricane_Ivan@reddit
Which location?
I didn't realize I'm like 5 minutes from the N. Dallas one lol
seanjames212013@reddit
I have one of these in my building. I’ve been twice. I think it’s pretty mid and it’s not cheap.
ohmyhip@reddit
Stop telling the masses. They're already busy all the time.
davidben13@reddit
No question, sky rocket burger frankford & Coit
WIDSTND@reddit
It’s the best - but I had to stop eating there due to experiencing a strange rapid heartbeat after both times I ate there. Not sure what they use on the seasoning but my body did not agree with it.
Quirky_Object_4100@reddit
Their cheese fries are real good too. So simple but so many places out there can’t even pull them off very well either
UpInTheAirDFW@reddit
100%… simple food done well.
thatone_JR@reddit
I second this!
bethy828@reddit

Shot-Albatross-5159@reddit
Heavily underrated, their secret sauce is 🔥
RC-5@reddit
Does it matter which location?
jtb8269@reddit
Coit and frankford in Richard’s son
bacontime5@reddit
That’s Dallas
jtb8269@reddit
Bah, not in spirit! We claim Skyrocket burger as a Richardson eatery.
bacontime5@reddit
Lol, Dallas needs all it can get.
aebenz@reddit
No, it’s definitely Richardson
LaminatedAirplane@reddit
A very nice family runs that location, love that spot
McRocketpants@reddit
Richard's son?
kabob21@reddit
I’m assuming his autocorrect messed up Richardson. That loc is easily confused for being in Richardson since it’s close to UTD campus.
Strict_Snow1996@reddit
I went to the Plano/ Richmond one and the Frisco location and I would say no it doesn’t matter
ChakaCar@reddit
this is the answer
CEOnnor@reddit
I think Twisted Root has the best flavored patty I’ve had. I’m going to get down voted for this but I went to sky rocket and thought it was ok. Nothing spectacular.
jtb8269@reddit
Goddamn straight. Up off coit and frankford is the best.
HarrisNGH@reddit
Which location? Or both slap?

ApprehensiveAnswer5@reddit
Porky’s. I think it’s technically in Mesquite though, but right over the line.
I also like Peak Inn, Flaming Burger, and Dairyette.
Boots in Rockwall, Del’s and Rick’s in Richardson.
Flaming Burger in Garland.
RIP to my original favorite burger at The Grape. Still number one in my memories! Lol
JusticeRhino@reddit
Peak Inn is the truth
TxDad56@reddit
We're in Dallas, and Porky's is the closest burger place nearby. Delicious, huge portions, and not too pricy. Place is definitely a dive, though. But always busy because it's crazy good.
ApprehensiveAnswer5@reddit
Same! We’re close to Dairyette and Flaming Burger also, but those portions at Porky’s are such a great deal for the price!
And yeah, definitely a dive. Take care with the potholes in the parking lot because I may have fallen once or twice hahaha
Secret_Hunter_3911@reddit
Oh Lord! The Grape. I do miss it so…..
ApprehensiveAnswer5@reddit
That burger lives in my dreams. Really, The Grape in general. We used to live close by and walk over on Sundays.

bikerdude214@reddit
I was there a month ago. Definitely mid at best. Don’t waste your time and money to drive to Richardson for Del’s.
Impossible-Praline61@reddit
That was our impression of Del's also. We could not believe the hype over this place.
cornbreadsdirtysheet@reddit
It’s fell off in recent years and the prices have gone up significantly a few months ago. The burgers went from 1/4 lb to 1/3 lb. not as tasty now.
BowzerBigBeanBurrito@reddit
you the type of person who enjoys Mi Cocina
rarekly@reddit
And you’re the type of person who takes personal shots at others for disagreeing with the burger you like. Which one is worse?
aebenz@reddit
I like that enjoying Mi Cocina is taking shots at someone lmfao
rarekly@reddit
I actually quite enjoy MC, but it was obvious our friend above was trying to throw out some sort of devastating insult.
aebenz@reddit
Well first, it was banter! He was being cheeky! Secondly, Mi Cocina is dogshit food that’s overpriced. Perhaps… you should venture beyond the drunk housewife genre of restaurant 😌😎🤔🥰🤠
rarekly@reddit
Wait are you the same person and just forgot to switch your account? Now you’re going to attack me for what reason? Fragile people, I swear. I don’t care what you like or don’t like.
BowzerBigBeanBurrito@reddit
Nahh different person who also has common sense, drink your housewife margs and be sad
rarekly@reddit
Yeah, I’m still not sure you’re not the same person. It’s fine. I’m really sorry that there are people out there that disagree with you, that must be hard. Kinda like it was hard to be an only child. Enjoy what you enjoy, the rest of us simpletons will continue to aspire to having taste like yours.
BowzerBigBeanBurrito@reddit
all good, enjoy your soft life
rarekly@reddit

DoubleBookingCo@reddit
Mid tier to me
SameSadMan@reddit
Went there recently. It was neither great nor cheap.
BowzerBigBeanBurrito@reddit
its like $11 for a burger and fries, cheaper than whataburger 🤷🏾♂️

Their fried pies are awesome. Burger was good but didn't blow me away.

reddsbywillie@reddit
I can't believe this isn't higher on the list.
Kidg33k@reddit
Burger schmurger sucks. They served me a hockey puck once with no apologies at 16 bucks. The whole building (craft and growler) smelled like smoke, but they still expected me to eat that shit. Fuck those guys and their trash hype. Are you burger schmurger, dreadlordnate? Cause if you are your place sucks.
DoubleBookingCo@reddit
No longer at Craft and growler. Sorry you had that experience. There’s a reason that he’s no longer there. He was pretty weird to a lot of people.
DreadLordNate@reddit
Nope. I'm not. Just someone who's been multiple times and had great burgers without exception.
Craft and Growler? I've only been to the popup in High Fives (which sucks because I hate bars) but as noted - food's been great every time.
¯_(ツ)_/¯

Basic, no frills, excellent burger: Maple and Motor
Kidg33k@reddit
I’ll take Hunkys on cedar springs over this any day of the week. Price point and flavor. Plus, sometimes the guys at maple and motor are rude. I love between the two. I’ll do maple and motor maybe once a year, Hunkys every other time I want a burger, which is a lot since fast food got so expensive
PutTheDogsInTheTrunk@reddit
How do you like your burgers? I always ask for medium and feel like I get a dry, well-done patty. Hunky’s is around the corner from me, but I feel like I’ve been burned too many times to return.
Impossible-Praline61@reddit
We went to try M&M a few years back, and there was a nasty note taped to the door about screaming brats not welcome (or something to that effect) and our brat was about 13 at the time, no longer screaming, but it just rubbed us the wrong way and we left without eating. I'd read online that they were rude, too, and just didn't feel like dealing with an attitude behind the counter. There's one near us now in North Dallas we may try, but honestly I love Liberty Burger (love pink burgers) and Rodeo Goat and may not even need M&M.

I’ve been going since pre Triple D M&M… when it was still called Motor St and not Medical District Drive, and have been to the N Dal location. It hasn’t really changed. It tasted exactly how it always has. The vibe is different at N Dal for sure. A little more family friendly. But the food has always tasted the same.
GeekyTexan@reddit
I tried it a time or two. It was decent, but not as good as I expected from their reputation.

SiriusSlytherinSnake@reddit
My personal favorite is Hobdoddy in Uptown. That and the truffle fries. But the bacon jam burger, especially when they first open so the buns are fresh and you can smell them, trade the normal patty for a bison burger and omg is it good. Love the shroom burger too.
