In the UK the campaign was 6 weeks, votes are counted overnight and the new government is formed literally the next day, none of this 3 months bullshit with 1 year+ long campaigns.
Actually unlike America, there is only one choice on the UK ballot which is for your local constancy, this then also contributes to the national party/prime minister.
the first two may be true... but the third point is not, technically. You don't vote for a party, you vote for a candidate in your local constituency, to be your representative in parliament. Also not sure why that would make things quicker?
Election results taking a long time due to mail in votes is very common in the western world, the reason it is new to you is because the US election system is completely fucked and is built around prevent votes from counting
Right because it isn't like the courts are stacked with republican appointed judges who fuck with the cour to help Republicans. Example is all of trumps cases outside New York and the judges being sanctioned by their profession organizations
It shouldn't take longer. We have extremely advanced technology that should be able to count instantly. Any state that takes longer than Florida is either incompetent or trying to commit fraud.
Bingo. There's zero legitimate reason why we can't have an encrypted voting system through a phone app....unless there's fuckery someone is trying to pull.
Most those new voting measures were implemented during the pandemic for "safety". Now that even the most strict covid believers admit the pandemic is over, we kept all the loose voting regulations.
Almost every other country makes it a holiday, and provides plenty of places to vote, as opposed to America, when cities have been gerrymandered to provide limited voting capabilities in some states, and so people are waiting in line until 10 at night.
She didn’t do it till the day after or later if I remember correctly. She had to blow off some steam and ritually bloodletting an intern wasn’t enough.
It was an embarrassment and complete middle finger that she didn’t have the gall to even go out to her supporters and instead her campaign manager john podesta walks put and says go to bed everyone, we will talk about it in the morning.
I remember the 2000 election. And I remember thinking “What a shitshow. Hopefully they don’t gotta go through that again”. Now here we are doing it every 4 years.
Probably happen anyhow - to post on any socials you must be id cleared, address linked and confirmed and sign a legal waiver that you're legally responsible for any shit you may cause - max sentence 30 years for causing 'social annoyance'
Yeah it's just crazy how the round earther deep state lizard men fake every swing state election by using transposing ink that changes a Trump vote to a Kamala.
America is doomed if our Fox News/big oil backed "anti establishment," real Russian patriot Donald doesn't take the W.
It only takes a few suitcases full of fake ballots in one county pulled out from under the tables after most of the ballot counters are sent home to swing an election for a state. There's actual CCTV footage of this happening that I've seen with my own eyes. 2020 was stolen.
So these alleged figures who rigged the election supposedly also rigged every investigation, every involved election official, rigged state officials, federal officials, judges. And on top of that, managed to keep the lid on it to the point where to this day, no one has came forward with compelling evidence.
We can't find a motivation for rigging the election, Trump never challenged the establishment; he just LARPs as someone who would. So little challenges to it, Fox News is squarely on his side with even multiple billionaires and corporate entities working with him. Shadow deals with Amazon to boot.
Or is it more likely the "get in line" GOP infested with enough sycophants to make Stalin blush went along with his tantrum after losing the election, alongside a nation state disinformation campaign (proven by multiple global intelligence agencies) to work with that destabilizing wave.
What’s especially funny is that most law enforcement divisions lean heavily right, so all these conspiracies imply that even the right wing is willing to throw elections against their favor, for what? Money? And that’s more believable than just a changing of the electorate and of the times?
Did you see the CCTV footage of those ballots getting placed under the desk? Or the CCTV footage of them coming in from their ballot boxes? No because the looney bin ignores that footage cause it ruins their narrative. If you think it's gonna get stolen go be a poll watcher
Answer my questions. Ballots don't just show up out of thin air. They had to come in from somewhere. Do some investigation of your own. With your own brain buddy. The ballots had to come into the building somehow. They aren't printed on site. Find the footage of the containers entering the building, it has to exist as legally the ballot receiving process must be on camera.
The same night, a warehouse was found a county over with two pallets of ballots that were unfolded and stacked as if they had just come from a printing house. Those ballots had no votes on them EXCEPT a songle vote for biden.
If I knew of the footage of those suitcases being brought in, I would have it. I don't know that that footage is public, and it's not like I can just go get it.
I never heard about the warehouse of ballots tbh. I did follow the ballots under the table stuff and the water pipe. Tbh they weren't suitcases, they were whatever Fulton County calls their equivalent of ballot trays. This is what all of their ballots went through processing in. If you really are convinced of election fraud I'd say read through the lawsuit and look at the evidence in it. That should include a good amount of footage to show just what happened. You also might file a request for the footage with the state of Georgia or Fulton county.
I wonder why Giuliani would say it was his first amendment right to lie about voter fraud if it was real.
I wonder why fox news would defend their lies of voter fraud by saying they werent a news organization and no reasonable person would believe what they said.
I wonder why they had to pay 1 billion dollars. Hmmmm
Explain vote counts decreasing for Trump on live tv. Explain those suitcases being pulled out after hours. Explain the two pallets found of uncreased, Biden only ballots stacked 6 feet high in that warehouse.
Explain the statistical anomoly of that 3am bump to give biden the lead.
Explain any real reason for republican vote counters to be blocked from counting votes.
The CCTV footage you’ve seen was selectively edited and pushed by the trump campaign as part of their attempt to defraud the election. You are CLEAR AS DAY falling for the lies Giuliani argued that was his first amendment right to spew.
I remember watching videos of ballot collectors fumbling with boxes of votes back in the day and thinking “wow this isn’t necessarily proof but I would like it if the explanation for this was widespread.” Then suddenly it became unpatriotic or whatever to even suggest that maybe something kind of fishy happened behind the scenes with the votes. This government that none of us trust or even like is suddenly infallible and would neeeverrrr tamper with the results of the election and to bring up even a wiff of questioning is to be a communist nazi sheep.
Fast forward to now when the time it takes to figure out the results is taking even longer then it used too.
I don’t know what’s happening man I’m just saying that trying to figure out what’s happening is exhausting to a normal person
I don’t have a ton of confidence in the election process this year lol
But if I were to hypothetically come up with a way to cheat and win this election while not making it obvious, I would keep a slow trickle of fake votes coming in for me to match the amount of legitimate votes for my opponents. It would be too obvious if I were so far behind and release all of the fake votes to put me ahead (2016). So it’s easier to just say “oh hey, here are all these votes that we just found that were from 3 weeks before Election Day”
How young are you? Gore and Bush were not the night of.
What I think you’re thinking of is the concession by the losing candidate. Normally that’s the night of. But the actual final results have always taken a while, even though we already know the winner
Yall are actual bottom of the barrel morons lmfao why did trump lose all his bs election fraud cases I think 60? even trump judges threw his shit out even Rudy Giuliani said we’re not alleging election fraud
You Trumpies are the zodiac chicks of politics, everything is based on how you feel. "It just feels off, but I have no facts because we stopped giving a rip about those."
Do you genuinely think that there is some magical "deep state" neatly divided along American partisan lines? One that is just so desperate to stop Trump, despite him being backed by many establishment figures like energy companies/Private prison industrial complex, and even Fox News itself?
How dense could you possibly be? Trump isn't anti establishment, never has been. Controlled opposition at best.
As for what I said, being skeptical of things is healthy. You should fucking do it, guess what it's the Trumpies who aren't being skeptical that this entire message us aimed at. Again nothing to do with me. Bot.
There's a difference between skepticism and repeating what has been, by every single metric and investigation there has been, to be an unsubstantiated lie.
Yet you call me the bot, lmao when it's proven bots are actually trying to spread election doubt bullshit.
Dog all I'm saying is we have always had election results night of or morning of for a really really long time before electronics even. Is it not just a bit strange regardless of where you fall that's the case? It doesn't have to be a grand conspiracy it could just be "hey there's not enough people to count anymore" or some shit, but no you launched into a tirade aimed at someone who isn't even here. That's why you're a bot, you aren't even capable of asking any questions about new information you just sat there and digested this shit without a second thought.
There's a lot of reasons the process is slower nowadays, partially because no one wants to make a call early in today's climate. The process has gotten slower, manual counts, not allowed to count mailed ballots early, etc.
The logistics behind actually rigging a US election is insurmountably difficult. The only way to do it is with propaganda, bots, etc. But that is not rigging per se.
It's FAR easier and cheaper to buy the pro Trump media, or find a business representative to leverage the useful idiot properly like we see the petroleum industry, Amazon and even some segments of big tech (to my surprise) having no trouble with. Tim Cook and Jeff Bezos even figured out how to use his ego to get what they want. That's cheaper.
You're basically saying there is a chance of some grand conspiring that has no discernable reason for it.
Doubting things because they go against your beliefs isn’t skepticism, it’s denial. Trump had four fucking years to drop evidence of the supposed biggest election scandal in history, and the best he can do is run the exact same campaign for the third time in a row and tell an ex-UFC commentator he has “papers”.
The "deep state" is simply the military and mega corporations.
It's not even a conspiracy at this point. It's extremely clear those 2 groups hold more decision power than either party does in America.
You will be fed the same abortion and gun drama every election. While the rich continue buy up your houses, give your kids amphetamine and sell you the poison fast food that makes you all 300 lbs while they tell you it's healthy. And when you all get diabetes and heart problems in your 40s, there will be no health care.
Trump isn't fixing anything. Kamala isn't fixing anything. It blows my mind Americans even care anymore. I don't get any of it.
The really "funny" thing is it's often public records.
The golf course deals, secret phone call meetings, all that fun shit may not be public, but we can follow the money and get a good idea.
One interesting thing about Trump I can appreciate not in a "supporting of him" way is his big mouth has made it out in the open. We should be worried no one gives a shit. He brags about calls with Apple, Wapo endorsement change after a meeting with Amazon executives. We see part of the real deep state in our eyes like a throning middle finger.
No because more people are voting by mail and republicans in some states have not allowed to be counted early leading to delays
And because voting is more polarising so while states have always taken days to fully count all the votes they used to have large enough margins to call lt early
Many states are slow at counting their votes - A lot of western states like California and Nevada that use a lot of mail in voting are also slow. You never hear about California though because it’s never close.
It also has to do with state law - In PA, another slow counting state, election workers aren’t allowed to start counting until election day. In Florida, they start counting earlier and thus have results earlier.
Phoenix is the fifth largest metropolitan region in the U.S., and has the fastest growth rate among the top 10 metropolitan regions in the country. It’s becoming more important as a state because it’s become a battleground state that never used to be one. With 11 electoral votes, it’s not so small it can be ignored.
And they’re not allowed to start counting mail-in ballots until Election Day - and if I recall correctly, they have to wait until the regular ballots are counted also.
The UK manages to have everything counted and a new Prime Minister installed the following morning. In the recent general election, there was 30 million votes to count, which is about a fifth of the US turnout in 2020. So it should take no more than 5 days to hand count every ballot.
Population should have no bearing. There should be proportionally as many people available to count as there are votes to count. Elections in my lifetime were counted overnight. Nothing has changed.
One thing to be aware of is that the Arizona election results could take longer to report than in previous years. That’s because there is a new law that requires vote center employees to hand count the number of early ballots dropped off on Election Day before closing up shop and transporting the tabulator machine memory cards that hold the in-person voting results to the county’s central election headquarters.
'Nothing has changed' lmao. You wanna actually stay up to date on what the Republican Legislature does to change things before actually claiming that nothing has changed.
Yes, it should. However, a certain political party has discovered that they can mess up the election by delaying the results.
Just look at the US States that have delays in the voting results. Its swing states. Elections are run by the state governments. Who is in control of the state governments in swing states?
Its Republicans, because they've gerrymandered swing states to such an extent that they can hold on to power there even though the (small) majority of the voters in those states actually tend to vote for the other party.
Republicans are in charge of the elections that have huge delays in voting results. Because Republicans benefit from such delays, as it allows them to throw the results into question, and then claim that Democrats somehow stole the election.
Maricopa country is in Arizona. Republicans hold the majority of seats in Arizona's Senate and in Arizona's House of Representatives.
Which means that THEY are in control of which laws are passed, including laws concerning how elections are run in Arizona. If Arizona has delayed voting results, the Republicans hold responsibility for that.
I’d imagine it’s bc we have a lot of mail in ballots in Arizona? And the last election people kept trying to break in so the counters would stop counting until the cops came to remove people
Saving democracy one 60 IQ Haitian at a time. We are seriously fucked if Cackles takes this. Like we’ve already seen the media censorship and pursing of political opponents the last 4 years, 4 more years of that and we’re full banana republic.
Then say Steve Bannon, not just "a radio host." Also, he wasn't arrested for his political views, he was arrested for scamming Trump supporters . Also, "the Dems" didn't sentence him, a jury of his peers did. He was then pardoned by Trump, and then arrested again for being not cooperating with a subpoena from the US government for his role in January 6th. In short, he wasn't arrested for his "political views" he was arrested for commiting crimes. Like a criminal.
Lol, such facts are too inconvenient for MAGA folk to grasp. They sure love their persecution complex with a generous sprinkle of cognitive dissonance.
Well they are Americans.... After they count to 100, they have to start looking up what numbers come next. It turns a few hour thing into a multi week deal.
Then you are narrow minded and ignorant of the policies of many states. Maybe your smooth brain can comprehend this breakdown. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/when-will-we-know-who-won-2024-election/
They need to know how it looks so they know how many "mail in ballots" to count after the election to change the results. I think America should made voting day a holiday, you vote in person, you use ID like everyone else, paper ballots only, and then you call the election the same night. If every other country can do it then why can't we. The uniparty wants room for fuckery so they can steal things. There's fuckery afoot.
The cheating algorithm has to design the perfect ratio to make libs feel like they won legitimately and make chuds feel like they got cheated. It's programmed to keep the animosity growing so AI can continue its takeover process and accelerate the singularity.
A new law in Arizona could also result in delays in results.
The law, written by Republican State Rep. Alex Kolodin, first requires poll workers wait for the polls to close. Afterwards, they need to hand count all the green envelope ballots that were dropped off. The ballots are then delivered to the elections center, where the signatures are verified, and the votes counted.
They've just never had to wait and hand compare green ballot signatures. There's also 2 pages of voting this election on their ballots. I wish people would just Google this stuff before posting.
here's a little breakdown of how reliable information is based on the source (LOWER NUMBER = better source)
BEST SOURCES
0- "it came to be in a dream"... (absolute best cannot be refuted)
1 - "I don't have a picture but here's an AI version of what that would look like"... (next best source ,this is the gold standard of journalism and research)
2 - some dumbass just posted something saying a friend saw something or that a friend believes something to be true... (another top quality way of conveying facts and logic)
3- yeah I saw a meme on [app, website, message board, discord server] saying that... (A very good source as people online cannot lie since they have no reason to)
4- I read an article from [the onion, or some other esteemed publication] saying... (the onion is a well known and loved journalistic source with extremely high credibility there's no reason to doubt what they say)
5- I saw a tiktok about about... (this is an excellent source rich with information)
MID SOURCES
6- I saw an ad on TV... (all ads must be entirely truthful so this is a solid source not ranked higher because ads suck)
7- I watched a YouTube video on the subject... (not ranked higher because YouTube videos take too long)
8- I saw [political propaganda person] saying these things... (a well rounded source that is truly unbiased)
9- I asked my buddy at work who seems like they would know... (they definitely do and are always right because they only get their information from the first 5 sources)
10- I saw a news headline that said... ( news headlines are the only thing you need to read to become and expert on anything)
WORST SOURCES
10 - I saw on the news that... (as we all know the news is dead and contains no factual information)
11- I read a full news article article about... (there's no good reason to read anything in a news article except the headline)
12- I saw an academic peer reviewed article saying that... (These are far and away the worst because they often cost money but even if they're free they're too long and complicated. They don't give you the simple thing is good, or thing is bad information that you need so these should be completely avoided if possible)
I hate living in Arizona. It’s either that we’ve got the shittiest ran state government out of the other 49, or we just got loads of immigrants and randoms flooding in and just running it up every year. It’s already easy as pie to get qualified for food stamps here, can’t imagine it’s much harder to falsify a vote.
since 1992, the Republicans have simultaneous control of the AZ house, senate and governor's mansion for 22 years. And they still couldn't sort their shit out? No wonder your state's going purple lately
It's the result of a law passed back at the beginning of this year that requires mail in ballot envelopes to be tallied and compared against the number of actual ballots mailed in before they're taking to a central processing center. Polling places can receive thousands of ballots just on the day itself.
This delays this entire process by hours.
Poll workers must also wait until all voters have gone through and the polling station has closed. If there's a long line at 7pm, this could also be a couple hours as anyone in line is entitled to vote.
A longer state ballot also prolongs this process.
It's like that meme of Eric Andre killing Hannibal Buress. Making the process longer, and then questioning who could do such a thing.
Not defending this because it shouldn’t take 13 days to count one county, but I’ve read that some states that don’t have voter ID laws have to go back through and verify the identity of every ID-less voter after the fact. Which in a large county may take a while.
Just another reason to have voter ID laws though imo. Makes shit faster.
Doesn’t even have to be DMV every town has at least one government/municipal building like a post office that should be able to print on for free. We spend so much already that a $3 laminated card is a drop in the bucket
Where I am you have to go to a DMV, even for a non driver license, and some DMVs have been shut down (particularly in poor areas). It can be difficult to get an ID, especially for the super poor.
But, I also assume those that can’t even get an ID likely won’t be able to vote either. I suspect it’s only a tiny fraction of a percent of people who are limited by ID laws, from legally voting (if they want to). Honestly if I were homeless the last thing I’d be concerned about is getting to the polls.
At the end of the day, the delays, lack of accountability, and costs associated with no ID laws makes it more trouble than “disenfranchising” the couple of homeless people who actually care about voting lol.
They could even just do voter ID the same way it happens in Australia. You upload (or mail) your address and documents to the electoral commission when you register to vote, and every election season you get mailed a maroon piece of paper with a barcode and your information on it. When the polling booth scans the maroon paper, they get a picture of you + your address + your name and you have to confirm those before they give you your ballet.
Voter ID without needing to experience the horrors of the DMV. Great, isn't it?
It’s because in some states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan they have to be hand counted and they can only start on election day. That’s why some states you get the results immediately but, other states lag behind the rest. Voter ID laws may speed up the process somewhat specifically verifying the legitimacy of the ballot but, you could do it efficiently if you have automated tabulators.
Anyone who has decided to live in modern society without id has made a specific decision to do so, and so probably isn't concerned with voting. Near-0 people would be negatively affected by voter id laws.
If Trump wins other swing states like Wisconsin and Michigan then Maricopa county won't even matter. I hope the election is very decisive no matter who wins.
This has always been the case for some % of counties, it is just such a small % that it doesn't affect the outcome of the election, typically within 24hr enough votes nationwide have been counted to say for sure how the delegates should vote
In France they vote all day with paper ballots. The precincts close at 7PM and they have national results at 8 PM. France is 2x bigger than Arizona and has 9x its population.
There zero arguments against a national ID system.
"But I don't want the government to....!"
To what? Know who you are? Know where you live? Unless you're literally living completely off grid, the government already knows everything about you.
It makes it much easier to enforce immigration laws as well, as you can turn the screw on illegal immigrants by mandating that the official ID must be produced and shown before they can do anything, get a job, rent an apartment, open a bank account.
Wait the USA dosen't have a national ID card? How tf are people identified? How do they know you are allowed to vote without a ID?
In my country you just walk in, they check your ID and then you vote by putting a check in the box that you want. How do they know if you are a legit voter if you don't have a ID?
So if you know that someone isn’t planning on voting it’s really easy to just say you’re them and get back in line to vote as yourself. Or you could just try to get to the polls really early before the real person does
You certainly couldn't do the first thing you suggested of "getting back in line" because if a poll worker recognizes you you'll be flagged and, if found to have committed voter fraud, go to jail for a long time. However, if you knew someone was registered to vote but unequivocally will not be voting (not in person or absentee), and you know their name, address, and DOB, you could theoretically go to a different polling place and vote there. However, you'd be taking a huge risk, because if the actual person does show up to vote and is told they have already voted, they'll in the meantime cast a provisional ballot, and the voter fraud will then be thoroughly investigated (same if you vote in-person and the actual voter had requested an absentee ballot, your ballot would be provisional and if the absentee ballot shows up the voter fraud will be investigated).
Driver's licenses do not prove citizenship. Green card holders, people on various types of long-term visas, and in some states illegal immigrants of course can all get a driver's license (since the US is a mostly car-dependent country). Of the things you listed, only a valid passport proves citizenship (since you can renounce US citizenship but still have a US birth certificate, and people born in the US under certain diplomatic auspices don't have birthright citizenship), and unfortunately a very large percentage of Americans don't have a passport.
Since we are ruled by cars everyone has a drivers license with your photo that serves as your ID for most things. It doesn't prove citizenship though. And not all states make you show it to vote, they just check your registration which probably has checks in government databases for eligibility.
It's a really bad system. No national ID, no mandatory address registration.
I think concern I have is that yes the government knows who I am and where I live, but with a national voter ID now they know how I VOTE much more clearly.
With a party in power that does not have the people’s best interests in mind and wants to go after political dissenters, seems easier with a national voter ID (compared to it being handled purely at a state level)
All they would be able to see is that "John Smith" attended Polling Station X at 8pm and was given his ballot there.
How would the government know how you voted? You would still go into the voting booth, mark your ballot, and put it into the box in complete anonymity?
There is a tech/informatics convention in Nevada where they have a running gag. Every year they do a competition where kids speedrun hacking a voting machine. These 12 year olds do it in like 15 minutes.
Magatards already calling the election rigged and the election isn't even over yet. I can wait to see a black female president win the office so I can see the chuds go frantic 😂🙏
Mad how Americans idolise the president. Like a god Proper nazi stuff at the Republican show in New York also. I'm from Europe but if one of our leaders started waving a cross around and calling the opposition the antichrist their career would be gone in a flash. In America that's a Tuesday and more than half the country thinks it's true.100% regarded
That's democracy for ya. You get the government you deserve. Any unfortunately a solid 1/3rd of Americans were dropped on their head as kids. The antichrist accusations are especially hilarious.
Remember when they were erecting golden statues of him at the RNC? "uh, guys, didn't the bible say something about this"
Physical paper is much better than digital voting.
Every single democracy in the world can count their votes and show the results on the same election night
They also count their votes electronically. This is a shitshow because red states and counties are forcing poll workers to wait until Election Day to count mail ins and also forcing them to count by hand.
Republican officials: all votes must be counted by virgins who have never seen a bee, 15 times by hand, overseen by 22 officers, that then recount twice; after which the ballots will be stamped, swabbed for fentanyl, and DNA tested. This is vital to make sure no imaginary Mexicans vote.
Also republican officials: omg, why does it take so long??
USA vote counting system is just dogshit. Apparently they don't count mail in ballots till election night for some dumb reason and they also don't have a national ID system so its complicated to count them due to a lack of ID.
Because as long as your ballot goes is the mailbox on or before election day it counts. Since dejoy butt fucked the postal system, you have to allow a week or two for them all to come in.
HighDegree@reddit
I'm old enough to remember when we had election results the night of the election.

Election results taking a long time due to mail in votes is very common in the western world, the reason it is new to you is because the US election system is completely fucked and is built around prevent votes from counting

Pretty much everyone charged with election crimes is republican, despite their non stop bullshitting and crying about it

Ok Junior.

Swap that for convicted ans nothing changes
AntDracula@reddit
Yes. Because they only pursue republicans.
FunkyMonkss@reddit
Well has there been any evidence of dems doing this?
AntDracula@reddit
Steve Bannon, Donald Trump, Peter Navarro, every non-violent person from January 6th.
2peg2city@reddit
Right because it isn't like the courts are stacked with republican appointed judges who fuck with the cour to help Republicans. Example is all of trumps cases outside New York and the judges being sanctioned by their profession organizations
LoLFlore@reddit
You know theres enough completely public info you can verify the counts and legitimacy yourself, right?
AntDracula@reddit
There is nowhere near enough public info, and it's quite obvious that pursuing only one party for legal issues is a...partisan issue.
Not hard.

orthopod@reddit
Yeah, prior to covid and large amounts of mail in voting, that was possible.
Now, with cities having even fewer places to vote, and more people voting, it takes much longer to count all those votes.

gaybunny69@reddit
There's the same number of votes, but it takes longer to count because there's less polling stations.
mkdir_not_war@reddit
What makes you think it's the same number of votes?

Yeah it's just crazy how the round earther deep state lizard men fake every swing state election by using transposing ink that changes a Trump vote to a Kamala.
America is doomed if our Fox News/big oil backed "anti establishment," real Russian patriot Donald doesn't take the W.
snacksbuddy@reddit

Did you see the CCTV footage of those ballots getting placed under the desk? Or the CCTV footage of them coming in from their ballot boxes? No because the looney bin ignores that footage cause it ruins their narrative. If you think it's gonna get stolen go be a poll watcher
snacksbuddy@reddit
Give me a single rational explanation
Lvl81Memes@reddit
Answer my questions. Ballots don't just show up out of thin air. They had to come in from somewhere. Do some investigation of your own. With your own brain buddy. The ballots had to come into the building somehow. They aren't printed on site. Find the footage of the containers entering the building, it has to exist as legally the ballot receiving process must be on camera.
snacksbuddy@reddit
The same night, a warehouse was found a county over with two pallets of ballots that were unfolded and stacked as if they had just come from a printing house. Those ballots had no votes on them EXCEPT a songle vote for biden.
If I knew of the footage of those suitcases being brought in, I would have it. I don't know that that footage is public, and it's not like I can just go get it.
Lvl81Memes@reddit
I never heard about the warehouse of ballots tbh. I did follow the ballots under the table stuff and the water pipe. Tbh they weren't suitcases, they were whatever Fulton County calls their equivalent of ballot trays. This is what all of their ballots went through processing in. If you really are convinced of election fraud I'd say read through the lawsuit and look at the evidence in it. That should include a good amount of footage to show just what happened. You also might file a request for the footage with the state of Georgia or Fulton county.

Explain vote counts decreasing for Trump on live tv. Explain those suitcases being pulled out after hours. This government that none of us trust or even like is suddenly infallible and would neeeverrrr tamper with the results of the election and to bring up even a wiff of questioning is to be a communist nazi sheep.
Fast forward to now when the time it takes to figure out the results is taking even longer then it used too.

If they were faking ballots why would they have to start on election day?
SaxophoneGuy24@reddit
I don’t have a ton of confidence in the election process this year lol
But if I were to hypothetically come up with a way to cheat and win this election while not making it obvious, I would keep a slow trickle of fake votes coming in for me to match the amount of legitimate votes for my opponents. It would be too obvious if I were so far behind and release all of the fake votes to put me ahead (2016). So it’s easier to just say “oh hey, here are all these votes that we just found that were from 3 weeks before Election Day”
All of that is hypothetical, of course.

How dense could you possibly be? Trump isn't anti establishment, never has been. Controlled opposition at best.

Yet you call me the bot, lmao when it's proven bots are actually trying to spread election doubt bullshit.
The_Mortuary@reddit
Dog all I'm saying is we have always had election results night of or morning of for a really really long time before electronics even. Is it not just a bit strange regardless of where you fall that's the case? It doesn't have to be a grand conspiracy it could just be "hey there's not enough people to count anymore" or some shit, but no you launched into a tirade aimed at someone who isn't even here. That's why you're a bot, you aren't even capable of asking any questions about new information you just sat there and digested this shit without a second thought.
Alex_2259@reddit
UpboatOrNoBoat@reddit
Just because you’re too stupid or was too young to realize the “results” we had next day were PRELIMINARY doesn’t mean this election is any different.

GiantJellyfishAttack@reddit
The "deep state" is simply the military and mega corporations.
It's not even a conspiracy at this point. It's extremely clear those 2 groups hold more decision power than either party does in America.
You will be fed the same abortion and gun drama every election. While the rich continue buy up your houses, give your kids amphetamine and sell you the poison fast food that makes you all 300 lbs while they tell you it's healthy. Trump isn't fixing anything. Kamala isn't fixing anything. It blows my mind Americans even care anymore. I don't get any of it.

The golf course deals, secret phone call meetings, all that fun shit may not be public, but we can follow the money and get a good idea.
One interesting thing about Trump I can appreciate not in a "supporting of him" way is his big mouth has made it out in the open. We should be worried no one gives a shit. No because more people are voting by mail and republicans in some states have not allowed to be counted early leading to delays
And because voting is more polarising so while states have always taken days to fully count all the votes they used to have large enough margins to call lt early
That_Guy381@reddit
Are you being sarcastic?
PeterFechter@reddit
But why this state in particular? It's not like we don't have more populous ones.
That_Guy381@reddit
Many states are slow at counting their votes - A lot of western states like California and Nevada that use a lot of mail in voting are also slow. You never hear about California though because it’s never close.
It also has to do with state law - In PA, another slow counting state, election workers aren’t allowed to start counting until election day. In Florida, they start counting earlier and thus have results earlier.
Satyrsol@reddit
Phoenix is the fifth largest metropolitan region in the U.S., and has the fastest growth rate among the top 10 metropolitan regions in the country. It’s becoming more important as a state because it’s become a battleground state that never used to be one. With 11 electoral votes, it’s not so small it can be ignored.

RandomMexicanDude@reddit
Mexico has volunteers only and we get results the same night
ghosttrainhobo@reddit
And they’re not allowed to start counting mail-in ballots until Election Day - and if I recall correctly, they have to wait until the regular ballots are counted also.
UnsureAndUnqualified@reddit
Which, from what I heard, was widely implemented by Republicans. I wonder if that is a way for them to say the election is rigged, hmmmm.
Republicans implementing shit legislation only to turn around with a surprised Pikachu face is by now a staple of US politics
ghosttrainhobo@reddit
If they’re ahead when all the same-day ballots are counted, they can sue and scream “stop the counting” or “keep counting!” If they’re behind.
Spazticus01@reddit
The UK manages to have everything counted and a new Prime Minister installed the following morning. In the recent general election, there was 30 million votes to count, which is about a fifth of the US turnout in 2020. So it should take no more than 5 days to hand count every ballot.
AutomaTK@reddit
Population should have no bearing. There should be proportionally as many people available to count as there are votes to count. Elections in my lifetime were counted overnight. Nothing has changed.
Omegastar19@reddit
https://ktar.com/story/5621636/arizona-election-results-counting-ballots/
'Nothing has changed' lmao. You wanna actually stay up to date on what the Republican Legislature does to change things before actually claiming that nothing has changed.
Omegastar19@reddit
Even though Republicans run those elections.
AutomaTK@reddit
Straight up lying
Omegastar19@reddit
Maricopa country is in Arizona. Republicans hold the majority of seats in Arizona's Senate and in Arizona's House of Representatives.
Which means that THEY are in control of which laws are passed, including laws concerning how elections are run in Arizona. If Arizona has delayed voting results, the Republicans hold responsibility for that.
sunshineandcacti@reddit
I’d imagine it’s bc we have a lot of mail in ballots in Arizona? And the last election people kept trying to break in so the counters would stop counting until the cops came to remove people

Because they are forced to have count.
The law, written by Republican State Rep. Alex Kolodin, first requires poll workers wait for the polls to close. Afterwards, they need to hand count all the green envelope ballots that were dropped off. The ballots are then delivered to the elections center, where the signatures are verified, and the votes counted.

adamsworstnightmare@reddit
Why would you google facts that clash with your lizardman narrative?
ScRuBlOrD95@reddit
here's a little breakdown of how reliable information is based on the source (LOWER NUMBER = better source)
ScRuBlOrD95@reddit
yeah but then that wouldn't go with the narrative most of the people here want to believe

https://ballotpedia.org/Party_control_of_Arizona_state_government
OD_Emperor@reddit
Shatophiliac@reddit
Not defending this because it shouldn’t take 13 days to count one county, but I’ve read that some states that don’t have voter ID laws have to go back through and verify the identity of every ID-less voter after the fact. Which in a large county may take a while.
Just another reason to have voter ID laws though imo. Makes shit faster.

Doesn’t even have to be DMV every town has at least one government/municipal building like a post office that should be able to print on for free. We spend so much already that a $3 laminated card is a drop in the bucket
Shatophiliac@reddit
JasminTheManSlayer@reddit
Voting is easier tho. They can mail in a ballot. Can’t do that with an ID tho.

Creeps05@reddit
It’s because in some states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan they have to be hand counted and they can only start on election day. That’s why some states you get the results immediately but, other states lag behind the rest. Voter ID laws may speed up the process somewhat specifically verifying the legitimacy of the ballot but, you could do it efficiently if you have automated tabulators.
phoncible@reddit
Anyone who has decided to live in modern society without id has made a specific decision to do so, and so probably isn't concerned with voting. Near-0 people would be negatively affected by voter id laws.

imaginecomplex@reddit
This has always been the case for some % of counties, it is just such a small % that it doesn't affect the outcome of the election, typically within 24hr enough votes nationwide have been counted to say for sure how the delegates should vote
Hubertino855@reddit
Burgers don't you have electronic voting in there???
Here in Poland we have paper ballots and it takes regularly only one day LMAO
Skillr409@reddit
In France they vote all day with paper ballots. The precincts close at 7PM and they have national results at 8 PM. France is 2x bigger than Arizona and has 9x its population.
manutoe@reddit
Yeah a national voter ID makes the process much more seamless
TrajanParthicus@reddit
There zero arguments against a national ID system.
"But I don't want the government to....!"
To what? Know who you are? Know where you live? Unless you're literally living completely off grid, the government already knows everything about you.
It makes it much easier to enforce immigration laws as well, as you can turn the screw on illegal immigrants by mandating that the official ID must be produced and shown before they can do anything, get a job, rent an apartment, open a bank account.
Special-Remove-3294@reddit
Wait the USA dosen't have a national ID card? How tf are people identified? How do they know you are allowed to vote without a ID?
In my country you just walk in, they check your ID and then you vote by putting a check in the box that you want. How do they know if you are a legit voter if you don't have a ID?
TrajanParthicus@reddit
They just check your name against the voter registry, I assume.
I'm not American, so I don't know specifics, but that's seemingly how it would have to work.
PlzDontBanMe2000@reddit
So if you know that someone isn’t planning on voting it’s really easy to just say you’re them and get back in line to vote as yourself. Or you could just try to get to the polls really early before the real person does
PeterFechter@reddit
Essentially yes but you also have to fake their signature.
PlzDontBanMe2000@reddit
That’s easy. Most peoples signature is just a squiggle
Throwaway74829947@reddit
You certainly couldn't do the first thing you suggested of "getting back in line" because if a poll worker recognizes you you'll be flagged and, if found to have committed voter fraud, go to jail for a long time. However, if you knew someone was registered to vote but unequivocally will not be voting (not in person or absentee), and you know their name, address, and DOB, you could theoretically go to a different polling place and vote there. However, you'd be taking a huge risk, because if the actual person does show up to vote and is told they have already voted, they'll in the meantime cast a provisional ballot, and the voter fraud will then be thoroughly investigated (same if you vote in-person and the actual voter had requested an absentee ballot, your ballot would be provisional and if the absentee ballot shows up the voter fraud will be investigated).
mooimafish33@reddit
We have various forms of ID for other purposes that most people, but not everyone, would have. There is no standard ID card.
Most people probably show their drivers license, another big chunk show their passport, I think it's possible to show your birth certificate.
Throwaway74829947@reddit
Driver's licenses do not prove citizenship. Green card holders, people on various types of long-term visas, and in some states illegal immigrants of course can all get a driver's license (since the US is a mostly car-dependent country). Of the things you listed, only a valid passport proves citizenship (since you can renounce US citizenship but still have a US birth certificate, and people born in the US under certain diplomatic auspices don't have birthright citizenship), and unfortunately a very large percentage of Americans don't have a passport.
PeterFechter@reddit
When you register to vote the system checks if you're a citizen.
mudcrabulous@reddit
Since we are ruled by cars everyone has a drivers license with your photo that serves as your ID for most things. It doesn't prove citizenship though. And not all states make you show it to vote, they just check your registration which probably has checks in government databases for eligibility.
It's a really bad system. No national ID, no mandatory address registration.
manutoe@reddit
I think concern I have is that yes the government knows who I am and where I live, but with a national voter ID now they know how I VOTE much more clearly.
With a party in power that does not have the people’s best interests in mind and wants to go after political dissenters, seems easier with a national voter ID (compared to it being handled purely at a state level)
PeterFechter@reddit
Good luck going against half the country
TrajanParthicus@reddit
All they would be able to see is that "John Smith" attended Polling Station X at 8pm and was given his ballot there.
How would the government know how you voted? You would still go into the voting booth, mark your ballot, and put it into the box in complete anonymity?
manutoe@reddit
With all the election fraud in 2020 I have doubts about the voting system as a whole. Having the federal government involved …. not speaking to me
ArcticPanzerFloyd@reddit
How would they know how you vote when presenting an I.D. anymore than they already do now?
manutoe@reddit
One would be handled by the federal government with insight into every citizen, and one would he handled by the states
gman8686@reddit
How would they know how you vote other than the frequency? It's not like your id is tied to your ballot, it would still be an anonymous vote.
PeterFechter@reddit

Physical paper is much better than digital voting. Every single democracy in the world can count their votes and show the results on the same election night
UpboatOrNoBoat@reddit
They also count their votes electronically. This is a shitshow because red states and counties are forcing poll workers to wait until Election Day to count mail ins and also forcing them to count by hand.
TrajanParthicus@reddit
Because pretty much everywhere else counts any mail-in ballots prior to election night.
Most also have some form of national ID, which means that the ballots are verified from the off and it's just a matter of counting.
Only the US throws up so many hoops to jump through instead of just implementing a national ID system.
