B-52's are already "deployed" almost everywhere given their range.

If anything, the fact that the Lincoln isn’t being relieved on station means they aren’t that concerned, or we need to up our availability pace. Which is… concerning.
Not as familiar with the B-52 cycle or stationing, anyone know about that?

Why would they not be very, very concerned right now? Iran has vowed retaliation before our election on Tuesday. I think it seems more like they are so worried about a possible attack on our carrier that they're moving it out.

Great question. Eh, Iran has near zero ability to hit a carrier, and that would 100% absolutely certainly no question be the end of that regime if they even attempted.

The Houthis have been using Russian anti-ship missiles (provided to them by Iran) and Russian targeting systems. Hezbollah was also reported to have anti-ship missiles stored along their coast, undoubtedly supplied to them by Iran. And Iran, of course, as a history of striking US ships before as well.

Iran already touched our boats once and the "proportional" response was to sink half their navy in one afternoon.

Exactly, and that was a just mine that a frigate hit. I guess you never know, but at the moment I think there is very small probability that they directly attack one of our ships. Right now they have the luxury of us at least trying to temper Israel’s responses - a direct attack against us will end that instantly and also have us joining in.

A better question, why SHOULD we be concerned?
