RingCentral Rep Spoofed Our Number

RingCentral is a big phone vendor - Using them as a launching platform for a social engineering gathering session seems easy enough. They say they're from RC and you'll either react as if you use them as a vendor (they get to skip a lot of steps) or you react as if they're a sales drone, they go into a fake pitch to gather extra environment info. While it's not much to go on, you even stated that you told them you're using Teams and a local carrier. They've got a decent amount of info now if they're just trying to slide in fake invoices: They know (and are willing to spoof) your DID and know some of your base tech you're using internally. Another info fishing session from a different spoofed number to map out where your accounting department lives DID wise, and they *could* potentially pretend to be you with your spoofed DID and a "Hey, we've got a new billing location for (service you use), could you update it before the next payment goes out?" They get a couple ACH sent out to some waiting compromised personal banking accounts before your real vender squawks about not getting paid, rinse and repeat with the next target. tl;dr - I'm literally the high emperor of the eternal kingdom of Mars.
