Fenix just updated their pistol light - GL19R V2.0

Anybody notice this? I've always stuck to Streamlight for WMLs, but I've been using Fenix 18650/21700 handheld lights for years and years now and have always been extremely happy with them.
Within the past few years, they threw their hat into the WML ring with the GL19R, but it didn't do a whole lot different to warrant people abandoning the near-universal holster support of Streamlight and Surefire lights.
This V2.0 light though is extremely compelling... 1200 lumens, 1 hr runtime on an 18350 battery, and over *44,000* candela.
Best of all IMO, is it has a slim single-battery profile, akin to an extra-long TLR-7 (even longer than the new TLR-7 HL-x). Which appeals to me greatly because unlike the TLR-1, or Surefire alternatives, means you don't have to have anywhere near the holster gap around the trigger guard.
I know it all comes down to holster support, but there's always a chicken or egg problem with these things anyway. But does anyone else find this as compelling as I do? I could totally see it on a nightstand 5" PDP that I hope to get in the next year or so...

Just want to say this light is fantastic. Holster compatibility is a real issue but like on a subgun or even top rail on an AR it's crazy for the money.

The new TLR-1 HL-X has 1500 lumens and looks like it very well might fit in the same holsters as the TLR-1 HL. So considering the immediate holster compatibility, I kind of doubt anyone's going to switch to Fenix.

Yes... but as I pointed out, this Fenix has over double the candela output. Assuming the quality is as good as the other Fenix lights I've been using for years, it certainly seems like a significantly superior WML, at least on paper.

The issue is that there is such a thing as too bright. While a crazy high candela might be good for outdoors, you can effectively blind or severely tunnel vision yourself if your light is too bright indoors. So it's a trade-off in some respects.
