Hello, my car didn't pass the smog test because it has recently had a jump start or something that cleared the system. I got a code reader and saw that the monitored test results for the "Monitor status since DTCs cleared" indicated a failed catalyst. In the "monitor status this drive cycle" there also showed failed 1) AC system, 2) EGR and.or VVT system, 3) Catalyst, 4) heated catalyst, 5) secondary air system, 6) oxygen sensor and 7) oxygen sensor heater all failed. I read about doing a drive cycle for my 2009 honda pilot which involved specific steps which I completed. Now when I read the monitor results in the "Monitor status since DTCs cleared" the catalyst now shows as complete, not failed. However in the "monitor status this drive cycle" the results are unchanged, showing the 7 failures. I am trying to understand the results and if my car is now ready to be smog checked. Could you chime in and let me know if you think it will pass or if I need to still drive more cycles until all 7 failures disappear in the "monitor status this drive cycle" readout?
"This drive cycle" resets at every turn of the key so ignore that.
All state emissions test care about is "since dtc's cleared". As that is the more accurate way to tell what tests have been run since the repair was made.
