COSM Immersive Experience – How’s the General Admission Standing Area?

Hey Reddit!
I’m thinking about catching a game at COSM, but all the reserved seating is sold out. So now I’m looking at the general admission standing option, and I’m curious about how the experience is from there.
For those who have tried it, how immersive does it feel? Do you still get that “in the action” vibe even without a seat? I’m not too worried about comfort, more about whether standing impacts the overall experience compared to seated options.
Would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks in advance!

I wanted to take my kids down there but the reserved and Dome tickets are so expensive...

Cosm access/ general admission is not for Dome. Reserved seating is for the Dome. It's explained 2 layouts when purchasing tickets. Nothing states GA gives you access to the Dome. It's not complicated. There are areas not reserved on the outer portion Dome where you can stand or sit. Which it states 1st come 1st serve. I've never seen give GA tickets in other venue give access to everything. It's an immersive experience venue. Not a restaurant or sports bar. Think of Disney. The basic ticket doesn't give you all access. The fast pass is an extra cost. Watched 2 games in the Dome and it was worth it.

Dude when the heck do tickets go on sale? Just missed it this morning and dome reserved seating sold out 😭

Was there last night and that seemed to be the case. If you line up early you can get an OK seat to have a partial view of the game but for big games like Texas Georgia last night it’s too crowded. If you want to check it out with a GA ticket your best bet may be for a team that doesn’t have a large local following.

Based on the online reviews, it’s not worth it if you don’t have reserved seating. You essentially end up paying a cover for a sports bar type environment with worse service. I haven’t been, but was in the same boat as you. I’m a Tennessee Vols fan and wanted to go watch them play OU, but the reserved was sold out. I did a lot of reading of reviews and the bulk of the bad reviews are from folks that didn’t have reserved seating in the dome and were disappointed.

That’s a bummer. The reserved seats are sold out for the games through the end of the year. Thanks!
