I watched it from my back porch, flew over less than 1000ft overhead. Even though the c47, and b25 still fly over its not the same without the b17

She was a part of our community for nearly 40 years. I've lived in her flight pattern for 6 years, I miss that roar overhead already.
I hope her new owner loves her and treat her well, and maybe bring her back for a visit.

Yes. I am sad she is gone. Apparently she is going to dismantled and moved to New Zeland for restoration and then come back. Going NZ will sped up the process because restoration shops here are too back logged a

I heard a rumble yesterday afternoon and thought something cool was coming. Was really surprised to see a B-17 pass right over my house.
