Server 2025 RDP only using TCP

We‘ve installed the Release Build of Windows Server 2025 on multiple Hosts for testing purposes. All RDP connections to those Servers are only using TCP transport and don‘t take UDP into account. Connections from the same clients to Server 2022 Servers in the same network use UDP without problems.
Is anyone for else experiencing the same issue with Server 2025 or is there any fix for this?

Can confirm the issue is also present on Windows 11 24H2 when used as an RDP target.
Makes sense as Server 2025 is based on the same 24H2

Same here with Releasebuild of Server 2025. There is a listener for udp3389 (netstat) and Firewall-Rule.

No, we‘re still experiencing this issue and we didn‘t find a solution so far…

On Windows 11 Pro also. Preview version it used UDP but from 24H2 only UDP for client connection. I checked my Terminal server is listening Port 3389 UDP and TCP. But client used only TCP

Having the same issue. Did you ever find a solution?

Up to Windows Server 2022 UDP was enabled by default. But I‘ve also created a separate Firewall Rule for 3389 UDP and configured to also use UDP in the RDSH GPO. Still doesn‘t work, in earlier versions it always worked out of the box.
BlackV@reddit
you have the firewall rules enabled ?

There should be a setting in the session host configuration to setup UDP.
