Hypercars are still something to be excited about despite it being increasingly unattianable because of driving simulators

My argument against hypercars being even more unattainable and something that you can never experience, is that you can drive extremely detailed models that handle exactly the same as the real life counterparts on Gran Turismo 7, and non-modded cars on Asseto Corsa/Evo with a good wheel and pedal setup and VR. You get 90% of the same thrill while spending a fraction of the money. I know that I can't afford these cars in my lifetime but I'm completely gone with experiencing them virtually. Physics simulation technology has evolved so far in these past few years and will continue to do so making the experiences closer and closer to the real thing, you don't feel like you're missing out on anything.

Yes. Actually when I got need for speed heat and used a racing wheel setup i enjoyed it a lot and when I got my first challenger I was surprised at how similar it felt to drive. I agree with you but the majority of a thrill of a car is the engine sound, and the inertia in your stomach. Unfortunately the simulators can’t get that feel.
As someone who has been behind the wheel of a super car(GTR) I can faithfully say driving a GTR in a game with a sim setup is cool but not 90% the same level of cool

Why even make the car then, you fucking moron. You can program whatever you want.
Are you slow?

Yo, some of that is a lil too far. Let's stick to clowning on bro.

90% my ass lol

A simulator good enough to provide 10% of the experience is gonna be like 90% of my paycheck

That’s like saying a virtual girlfriend is 90% of the thrill of a real one. Sure you can simulate the look and conversation of one but, it’s missing a big key component… she’s not real!

My left hand is 90% the thrill of Mia Khalifa.

Too bad most racing games are dogshit nowadays.
tannit@reddit
How does a driving simulator make them unattainable?
Slideways@reddit
Why even go through the trouble of designing the real car if you can simulate whatever handling and power you want?

I quite like hypercars but for the sake of discussion my counter argument is when you have GT3 cars & proper open cockpit racers in VR, hypercars become quite boring to play with
