Crimson Trace makes trash products with misleading warranties.

Probably preaching to the choir here but do not be fooled by Crimson Trace's misleading "limited lifetime warranty" on the electronic products.
The warranty is actually for 3 years. That would be fine if they acknowledged that their crap quality lasers have a expected lifespan of 3 years but they won't. I've asked several different CS reps over several platforms what sort of lifespan should be expected but they most detailed answer I've gotten is "more than 3 years".
So of course the question becomes 'Why is it called a lifetime warranty if it's only for 3 years and you say your products last longer than 3 years'. Without fail when we reach this point of questioning CS because radio silent and stops email correspondence completely. I call in with the same questions and get told a manager will have to call me back with a answer, which of course never happens.
So the so called lifetime warranty is a LIE but they will try and placate you by offering "50% off MSRP for a replacement which is also a LIE because MSRP is already 2x standard retail pricing.
I can't believe I supported such a shit company for over a decade, please join me in sending a big FUCK YOU by spending your money with a company that actually stands behind their products and warranties.

This sucks, they used to be a okay company. I had a crimson trace grip on a ruger .22 that I got in a trade about 15 years ago. It had intermittent reliability issues when I got it. One email to customer service later and I had a shipping label paid for by them. 1 week later a new grip showed up in the mail, complete with extra batteries and a little cleaning kit in a nice little C/T bag that the previous owner never gave me

That was before S&W bought them.
Brufar_308@reddit
things must have changed since they were bought by S&W in 2016.

visible lasers are dumb, why is this even an issue?
FPSXpert@reddit
For lasers I can agree, but they do make other products too and sometimes firearm platforms are limited. They're the only guys making WMLs for one of mine, so I don't get much of a choice.

I have never owned a CT product and never will, especially after hearing this.

I’ve had one of their red dots and a m&p with the laser combo for years with 0 issues

You bought from crimson trace for over a decade and just now realized they sell garbage?

The ol "lifetime of the product" not your lifetime trick. Happens more often than you might think my friend.
