Anyone near SF with a 5.25” DOS boot disk?

Hi folks. I’m troubleshooting some floppy drive issues and want to ensure the disks I have are actually bad before I order more copies. Would anyone near San Francisco have a 5.25” copy of DOS (preferably 3.30 on 360kb disk) I could borrow to test out my drives? Thank you so much 🙏

I can probably get you one, but not immediately. Lmk if you don't have one in the next few days and I'll let you know if I get one made for ya.

Maybe send your disk to them for testing. No way I'd send my vintage DOS disk to some reddit rando let alone one with a possibly faulty FDD.

your profile says “don’t be a dick”yet this is an awfully sardonic response that actually isn’t helpful in the slightest

Yes it is. If you requested instead to have someone validate your disks as functional without risk to someoneelse's media you'll get farther.

it's just a floppy disk, it's not as if they're particularly rare.

One has a choice, be helpful or shut up…

In a perfect world, but here you are demonstrating a third option you didn’t mention
