I do as well, you have to have 2 minimum in there at a time if you want an optical drive due to length constraints on a standard ide cable. (This case is the bane of my existence)
Not sure if it’s intentional but whatever it’s sitting on looks like a scale raised computer floor in a data center, so in the first pic it looks like a room sized computer. Cool!
It's not a big, gaudy "BLADE RUNNER" sticker, and it's not combined with all the neon lighting/styling of the movie. It's just a small, custom, tasteful mfg badge where normal mfg badges go, not looking out of place with the small Sound Blaster badge on the same face, or the Intel badge inside the case.

The slightly Mismatched Fron Panel bothers me greatly. XD
Otherwise an amazing build.
Vinylmaster3000@reddit
What sound card do you got there? My god that cable management is impeccable, I do not know how you do it
sabbathian@reddit (OP)
AWE 64 and Windows 98
vtosnaks@reddit
Is the panel with the logo attached the wrong way? It looks like the 4 panels should make a circle in the middle.
sabbathian@reddit (OP)
Nope, that’s how it’s made
neverpost4@reddit
Have you considered 'fixing'it? It would look better. There are only a few chances where you get to undo the past wrong ..
sabbathian@reddit (OP)
No, I actually like how it looks :)
SamFortun@reddit
I love it. That case would be boring AF if the pieces were in the "right" positions. Somehow being so wrong is what makes it so right.
redruM69@reddit
I thought the same thing. If you zoom in, it's all one single piece.
OODLER577@reddit
that's cruel xD
AudioVid3o@reddit
I have no idea how you managed to get the cable management so good
1997PRO@reddit
It's all wireless in 1995
RecipeSea3177@reddit
IKR?! I cringe whenever I see messy retro PCs with basically NO cable management. Why? It's so doable. Here's an great example.
AudioVid3o@reddit
well... my 1998-1999 era build is a little bit of a rat's nest
ReceptionFriendly663@reddit
I hated the ide ribbon cables.
hamellr@reddit
It is also a bad idea. Those cables were thin enough that there could be interference between them leading to a corrupted hard drive.
Talking from first hand experience.

Oy! Lol! Still beautiful machine.
Velocityg4@reddit
No one cared then. The cases didn't have windows and they typically didn't generate much heat.
RecipeSea3177@reddit
Only crazy people (like me) cared. "Air flow" you know. 🤪
sabbathian@reddit (OP)
Case helps hiding a lot of it. Rest is just patience.
0pe-Sorry@reddit
What case and mobo?

OH DANG THATS BITCHEN
5erif@reddit
Digging the subtle Blade Runner reference too.
Methos6848@reddit
Subtle??? There's nothing subtle about that wonderful reference at all. They even nailed the correct Tyrell Corp owl logo!

I love that case! What is it?
savageronald@reddit
Now why would anyone ever need that many MHz?
sidusnare@reddit
That's really nice, I had a 233 MMX in the day, good times.
hamellr@reddit
I had a dual 233mmx setup back then. Fun machine and I’m sorry I traded it away for a Sun IPX
Junior_Budget_3721@reddit
I keep waiting for those front panels to open up and transform the pc into an autobot.
RecipeSea3177@reddit
Great looking PC. When you say custom... Do you mean the front facia is 3D printed or something?
sabbathian@reddit (OP)
Completely repainted. It was a standard beige case before. Different LEDs and generally completely restored. Every screw is brand new.
RecipeSea3177@reddit
NICE! Great job!
