What does this mean? I can use either one of these buses?

correct, but in this case you probably better off walking the whole distance

Chose the destinations as an example. First time I was in Budapest I couldn't feel my feet at the end of the day because I didn't know which bus to take.. then when I took the bus from Heroe's square to the Chain Bridge, I couldnt pay with card or euros 😲. But the driver was very kind and he let us ride for free. "I can't let you walk" he said..

FYI: Just because the driver lets you ride it doesn't mean if ticket inspectors get on the bus and they find you to not have a valid ticket they won't fine you. It is your responsibility to have a valid means of travel. The driver is just tasked to ask for a ticket to deter bilking, but it is not his responsibility to really enforce this and they are incentivised to be on time according to the timetable, so they typically just let you on anyway so they can be on time at the next stop.

I know.. I wont make that mistake again :)

The easiest option is to download the Budapest GO app, sign in either using Google or Facebook and buy your tickets there. That way you can use your card and your ticket will be always on your phone!

Does it work with 100E aswell? I must be at the airport at about 4am.. got no idea when does 100E drive there at that hour
Csibemido@reddit
No, the only exceptions are the airport buses! You should go to Deák Ferenc tér where the 100E starts and there will be helpful people From who you can buy the ticket or will guide you to an automat

Can I at least see the departures on the app for 100E? Buying a ticket's not a problem, I just do it inside the bus.
Csibemido@reddit
You can but it is pretty unnecessary, it departures every 10 mins

I leave December 23rd.. with Christmas on the way and all that..
Csibemido@reddit
Dont worry, it is the same at Christmas

You can also check the schedule in the app, and you can buy tickets for the 100e as well

Also pretty much the big majority of centric BKK stops will have an electronic timetable. And all of them will have a printed timetable as well with all the buses that serve the stop
LazarusPGCG@reddit (OP)
Yes, I've noticed that. It helps a lot to make sure you're at the right stop
cotymanager@reddit
Yes.
zsirdagadek@reddit
Yes, exactly. All four buses are suitable between your starting point and your destination.
