Amateur scientist sailing vlog

Does anyone know of any science geared sailing vlogs?
I'm looking for a vlog that utilizes the freedom of sailing to join expeditions, participate in studies, gather samples for research teams, bring awareness to ecological issues etc etc...
Does that exist?

Project Seawolf is like this, he is currently rebuilding his vessel, but he’s a marine biologist and plans to circumnavigate to explore.

Please be aware of Rule #1 about blogs, vlogs, and self promotion. I'm letting this thread stand as a meaningful contribution to the sailing community and indeed to science in general. Please tread a little carefully. Anything that looks like self-promotion will be removed and a pattern including through second parties will mean locking a potentially interesting thread.
Mod hat off, a search using Google returned a lot of results.

Crap! Sorry about that. Thank you for letting it stay up. I didn't mean to break the rules. Definitely no self promotion here.
Also, thank you for being better at search engine key words than me. I didn't know about the phrase "citizen scientist". The Google search link you shared is a really big help.
I appreciate you 🙏

Upvote for attitude.
You didn't break the rule. You got close. *grin* It's a great topic and I support it. The easy out for me would be to remove the post and lock the thread and give you an *ahem* vacation. *grin* That isn't the right answer because there is real potential in your topic. The audience for my comment are the people who might promote their own blogs/vlogs/whatever. Or have spouse/friend/random acquaintance act on their behalf. Some of my audience is the other mods that I read this and thought about it and have a rational for leaving it up. I'm the most junior mod but I'm active and present and they have so far given me autonomy.
You're good.
I'm an engineer and a scientist. There have been some wonderful contributions to human knowledge by citizen scientists. Just off the top of my head, lots of contributions understanding the Pacific gyre. VOSP is citizen/corporate science at its finest. They provide baselines for weather forecasts and have helped track the southerly migration of the Gulf Stream crossing the Atlantic. Counting invasive species. Crowdsourced depth sounding. At its roots, Waterway Guide Explorer reviews are citizen science. Data collection of equipment reliability e.g. by the ARC is mundane but still useful.
I'll try to keep an eye on this thread both as a mod and a member of the community. There are over 600k members here and I have a life, work, other interests, and like to go sailing so I miss things. If something cool comes up or I can help feel free to ping me.
Moderators work for the community. We can't be everywhere and depend on the community at large to use the report button to flag questionable posts and comments. Every single report gets followed up. We may not agree that there is a transgression. Judgements differ. We do the best we can to be fair and consistent. You can think of us as janitors, sweeping up the debris. *grin*

If you like reading, check out the book "Reading the Glass"

Alluring Artic, not sure how much of their content is dedicated to the science thiugh.
Candygramformrmongo@reddit
Not much. She's the scientist of the couople, but has a pretty low profile on the channel and references to the actual scientific process or findings are almost nil.
horoeka@reddit
Yeah I was going to suggest this. I suspect they expose the science a bit more on their website.

Not a vlog, but Matt Rutherford has his Ocean Research Project and does podcasts.

glad to hear this. I lived for over a decade around the corner from where he grew up. his story always resonated and is a great recovery story.

Any content in the realm of liveaboard sailing for science is definitely appreciated. Thanks!

I just watched the first 5 or 6 episodes. This is exactly the kind of thing I am looking for. Thank you for the suggestion! I can't believe they only have 900 subscribers to their YouTube channel.

I have known Tripp personally for 20 years. He’s a good guy and very passionate about what he does.
They probably don’t have a ton of subscribers because they don’t post often.

I know someone who’s about to start a circumnavigation and make climate change docs along the way. Nothing out yet but they’ve got a PhD from MIT lol.
You think something like this would be popular?

I'm hoping so 🤞
