Is Serbia cheaper than America?

I’m a transgender male and I’m thinking about moving to Serbia when I’m older and have a lot of money. How are the prices in Serbia? Also can you please translate the currency like if it was in euros or whatever and say how much money it would be using USD? Also is Serbia transgender friendly?

Actually, while there are some freaks that are openly against tans and gay people we are also pioneers of sex-change surgery and psychological treatments for self-acceptance. So little of column A and little of Column B.
But also I don't know when there was last incident of attack on anyone due to their sexual or gender identity. We have kink parties in clubs and nobody touched anyone there since... ever?

For transgender friendly, and still much lower cost of living than US, consider Portugal and Greece.
h1ns_new@reddit
Greece is not trans friendly for sure, Portugal might be.
srberikanac@reddit
Spain for sure is, though it has a little higher cost of living than the recommendations I made(unless if it’s more rural location), which OP seems to care about.
Are you sure about Greece? Every time I have been there it seemed like at the very least lgb population is completely open and not in any risk, and it seemed Greeks couldn’t care less. It could be just the touristy destinations if your experience differs.

I don't think most of us Greeks have ever met anyone who is transgender, i am 21 years old and i have never seen any such people in real life.

Spain is very LGBT friendly. The Spaniards mind their own business and don’t care what people do in their bedrooms.

Don’t forget Slovenia.

Me personally, if I was in their shoes, I'd pick the most trans friendly country, north korea, Where identity doesn't matter, all is equal.
h1ns_new@reddit
North Korea treats (even compared to average citizens) gays horribly, i think you actually get executed for it.
SageMitso@reddit
Correction, everyones gets treated horribly. You can't be discriminated against if everyone is equally oppressed.

Thailand is pretty good I hear. I don’t judge. Peace and love to all ✌️☮️🕊️.
ZhiveBeIarus@reddit
It is a lot cheaper than America.

If there is one group of people we actually don't like, that would be the pronoun crowd. We don't generally hate people who transitioned all the way, but we do think there is something deeply wrong within their mind.
So, no, Serbia is not trans friendly.
As for the financial part, each day we are coming closer to prices of the west, even surpassing them in some aspects, so it's not really like it used to be decades ago. Sure you can find some fairly cheap piece of land with some old house in the middle of nowhere, but this applies to pretty much any country on earth.

I think your friend's had too much rakija to drink

Or just fucking with the person. 🤷♂️

I mean, we have trans people here (even as soke public figures or should I say influencers), but I wouldn't call Serbia trans friendly at all. In fact, I think gays and lesbians are having it better than trans people, and they ain't having it good.
Archaeopteryx11@reddit
Wasn’t one of your politicians a lesbian? I was surprised because I thought Serbians are more conservative than Romanians and we don’t have any openly gay politicians AFAIK.
Stverghame@reddit
It is weird. It's like most of Serbs don't approve it, but no one would harm you if you're LGBT. So what exactly would be counted as tolerance - no aggression towards LGBT or being a vocal supporter of them? Defintion might differ from person to person.
svemirskihod@reddit
Why would anyone know or care if you are trans? Do you declare your gender identity as you go about your day to whoever will listen? I’ve never had a stranger tell me and I’m a friendly and approachable guy.
Archaeopteryx11@reddit
Maybe you’re not friendly and approachable.
