I wrote "relatively unscathed". She didn't fall in coma, but was put into it by the doctors. Looking at the clip you expect death or at least loss of limb, severed spine or other permanent injury. If you can be interviewed by newspaper a day or two later without any permanent or even a long lasting bodily injury, that is relatively unscathed in my book.
Something like this happened on I-15 between baker and Vegas (northbound) several years ago. For those unaware, the traffic from LA to Vegas is always bad on weekends. Some impatient lady tried to jump over to the clearly marked “truck climbing lane” and was met at full speed by a truck going maybe 20-30 mph. To add to the devastation, neither of her kids were restrained in car seats. I’d have to look it up, but I believe both children died while she lived.
Should be a learning lesson. Again show this on National news, stop cutting us semi drivers for a sec or 2, had driver been in right lane knowing they were getting off they would have seen stopped traffic on off ramp. Instead they just couldn’t resist speeding past multiple semi, to die ultimately. Play stupid games win stupid prizes
I guess you also lose a bit of sympathy/empathy. Seeing assholes do this over and over again, and know the patterns, get the finger, and slow down knowing you are saving their life, and get a big FU in return. I don’t want to see anyone die, but fuck it, I’ve been damn close to wanting to smash someone like this, that deserves it.
Definitely their fault, but I don't think it had anything to do with passing, but to get into what looks like an off ramp. They could have passed just fine in the middle lane.
They know their exit is coming up instead of staying in right lane, which they would have seen stopped traffic, they rushed because of course no one can be behind the big truck, and have to cut us off, swerving in front of at least 2 semi, slam brakes, to only run into another they could beat the semi’s they were passing. These are the fuckers I love seeing this happen too. Unless a huge medical emergency that car should have been in right lane. Again Darwin Award winner.
