My first CFI insisted that we try the school's 152 for a lesson since it was less expensive. I am 6'2" and, back then was normal weight. My CFI was a bit taller than me and a bit bigger, but not overweight. We were able to get the doors closed but our shoulders overlapped in the middle. The takeoff roll taxed my patience but given the 6,000' runway we eventually took to the air. I think we got to pattern altitide mid-way through downwind. The flight was less than one hour and is still the only 152 time in my logbook.

The 150 just uses a sky crane for flight
