So, legal status and domicile are different things. If you didn’t provide proof of domicile to the DMV they can issue you a Non-Domiciled CDL. TSA doesn’t care about whether you are a domiciled or non-domiciled CDL holder applying for HME.

The question you aren’t answering is what proof you provided to your DMV. Did you meet their burden of proof for domicile? Or is your address a hotel, or a halfway house? This is why you may have received a non-domiciled CDL.

My address is literally an apartment complex that can be seen from the DMV parking lot lol I gave them my 6 point of ID Social Security card GC License Leasing contract

If i had the EAD card only i would totally understand this, but having a GC accepted by TSA for HME(which is only allowed for US citizens or permanent residents) but not for DMV is nonsense, if it’s so i should’ve issued a non domiciled CLP but they didn’t it was a regular CLP , they let me take the HME dmv test using the GC, but when i came to complete the license and issue it they were like im a visa holder !? Tf ? If im a visa holder then I can’t issue a CDL

I know many native English speakers who are waaaay worse. For all I know, OP might actually be a native English speaker.

I have lived in a foreign speaking country for several years.

If the roles were reversed and we were all trying to be competent CDL drivers in Europe, we could only pray thst our mastery of another language was as good.

What the fuck does being a permanent resident have to do with voting? I’m sorry your level of ignorance regarding visas, immigration statuses and citizenship is so incredibly high, but literally NO ONE of any authority within an elections office would look at a permanent resident card and be tricked into thinking someone is a citizen and is therefor allowed to vote. A permanent resident in immigration terms is specifically someone who is NOT a citizen, but has a status that permits them to live in the country on a permanent basis. It is typically granted after strict requirement have been met, such as the immigrant having been living in the country under a work visa for a certain number of years, or marrying a US citizen and then going through the process to apply for it. Would it make you lose your shit if I told you that after being a permanent resident for a certain amount of time, a person typically becomes eligible to apply for naturalization as a US citizen, then would have the same rights as any other citizen to vote?

Who tf asked if i can vote or no? My post here just because TSA HME isn’t allowed but for permanent residents or US Citizens, they accepted my application using my I-551 card so that means im a PR on tsa side, but DMV decided to declare me as a visa holder and they issued me a non domiciled cdl which limited my employment chances that’s it…..

In reality I couldn't register to vote for 2 years, even after I brought my US passport and naturalization papers into the DMV with me, because in the system I was still an immigrant and they couldn't change that even with physical proof in my hands.
