Can I upgrade parts or should I just upgrade whole pc.

Hi! I am need of some advice if possible. My current pc setup is as follows:
cpu: i5 8600k
cpu: 980ti
ram: 8gb gskill ripjaw ddr4 ram
my computer still works well for normal everyday use such as surfing web, office suite etc.
I do occasionally play video games..mainly WoW. The game has been freezing pretty bad intermittently. When it happens my task manager is showing that almost all of the memory is being used. Can I get by, by just upgrading ram?
thank you for any advice

If your ram is hitting 100% you can probably get by just upgrading it. And worst case scenario is if it doesn't work you can return it or just keep going down the rabbit hole of upgrades until your satisfied.

Is your ram a single 8GB stick? If otherwise you're fine with WoW's performance, get another 8GB stick matching specs, or an entire replacement 16GB kit. DDR4 should be very cheap.
Ideally you have this config: 2x8GB, 3200CL16.

Negative. 2 4gb sticks unfortunately

$30 for a new 16GB kit: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/P4FKHx/silicon-power-sp016gxlzu320bdaj5-16-gb-2-x-8-gb-ddr4-3200-cl16-memory-sp016gxlzu320bdaj5
And if your old sticks are also 3200/CL16, you can use all 4 for 24GB of total ram (not like there's much point to it). Or sell it for $5-10 bucks

it might get rid of the freezing, but your pc is somewhat dated and that will still be true.
personally, i would save up for a new pc.
