I’m just in the process of upgrading our backup solution. It’s an isolated server so we’ve always used RDXs for backups.

The server is already using the SAS controller for an external HP drive array (D3200). Can I use the same controller to connect to an HP MLS autoloader or is the second port on the controller only usable in for redundant connections to the drive array?

I tried the system connected to just the autoloader it didn’t seem to see it, but it didn’t yell at me. With both devices connected it yelled when booting. I appreciate any help. TY
