Oh no! Anyway...
Seems China has outstripped Russia in the 5th gen race, at least. Does anyone have non propaganda information about this aircraft?

The article seems to omit the fact that there are over 1000 F-35s in service and Japan is going to be one of the largest F-35 operators in the world with 147 aircraft on order. Fucking Belgium will have more advanced stealth fighters than China.

That's a big one there.
KeDoG3@reddit
It is a paper tiger. Has never been used in combat, stealth technology is a joke on this like it is on the Su-57. The combat range alone of 1200nm without external tabks days it all about how nuch China has embellished its capabilities.

For real?
They're claiming this thing can do the equivalent of flying from LAX to DFW and back, loaded, without drop tanks and refueling?
Hahaha hahaha!
KeDoG3@reddit
They also claim their larger J20 is 8000lbs lighter than the slightly smaller F22 and can carry 24,000lb of weapons (the F15 Strike Eagle which is known for bieng able to carry a lot can only carry 23,000lbs). Not to mention they also claim the J20 can out climb the F15 by 10000ft/min more even though the Chinese domestic engines are incredible immature a inferior.
The whole J20 specifications China puts out is propoganda and J20s would likely very easily die to AMRAAM120s from F18s. That is not even going into classified radar capabilities the US aircraft have
Positive-Goose-3293@reddit
That's rich.
I haven't been following this thing very closely, and figured anything put out would be a bit of an exaggeration.
I didn't plan on it being an exaggeration of that magnitude.

Insert Tropic Thunder Tom Cruise meme here.

It’s capable but China has yet to make its own engines as good as American ones. Canards are also noted to possibly reduce stealth. I don’t think it can network like US planes.

Yah it’s so good that the Taiwanese have to intentionally scrub its tracks from their daily public briefings re PRC incursions into their ADIZ.
