Looking to upgrade my cpu since its hogging my RX 6600.

Greetings everyone,
Right now I'm running a Ryzen 3 2200G paired with an RX 6600, B450M mobo, 16 gigs of ram w/ 2666mhz, and a 650w psu. My games have been a stuttery mess ever since my GTX 1650 has died and I've gotten the RX 6600. They're playable, but not great. I'm looking to upgrade my CPU, and the Ryzen 5 5600x has been on my list for a while. While I'm at it, should I also get 32 gigs of ram with a better frequency, such as 3600? [I don't wanna spend more than 250$-ish btw]

first thing you need to do is use DDU and get rid of all trace of NVidia and AMD drivers then do a clean install of new AMD driver.
if your dame old games are running like garbage and they did not with a 1650 that shows something is not right.

i did ddu. i've gotten the rx 6600 a few months ago and ever since then as i've mentioned the games are running great but the cpu is bottlenecking my gpu and thats why i want to upgrade.

for example cyberpunk 2077 runs me quite great on high with ray-tracing set to medium. solid 60, until i hit the center of night city and there's a shit load of npcs, thats where my cpu struggles.
