Connecting floppy drives to an apple II 'APPLE 5.25 DRIVE CONTROLLER'

Hello, I have recently acquired an apple IIe platinum, which has a floppy controller, an "APPLE 5.25 DRIVE CONTROLLER 655-0101-D", which has a ribbon cable, with a db16? connector in slot 4 on the back of the case. I know this is not the same as the original disk II controller, however to my understanding, the card I have should be compatible with the disk ii, unidisk, and 5.25 drive (and others, but those are rarer).
What I am wondering is, if I get one or two disk II drives, what kind of cable/adapters do I need? and is there anywhere that still sells these?

I am not sure what adaptors exist, or if you would need to make one. The controller you have is intended for the later UniDisk / DuoDisk style of 5.25" drives, and uses a DB16 connector. Electrically the interface is identical to the Disk ][ as you have already discovered. Will see if I can find out about adaptors for you ...

thank you! I'm really not too familiar with the cables that they use, particularly as I don't have any apple floppy cables yet, only pc, so I'm not really sure what to look for.
