It does. And if you go “a little” higher, like FL600, it looks like that even during the day.

For never flown 400 at night, does it look like that to your eye? All I see is this, closest I’ve got to night at dusk.

Just fascinating to think that the last time this comet was visible from earth, humans wouldn't have the first recorded civilization for another 74 thousand or so years.

Took this about 100 miles off the coast parallel to PNS when I took the picture at FL400. Thought being away from the light pollution would provide a better view but I think it is about the same as being over land. (Took one of those the day prior)
