Best way to embarrass your kids is to blast this song in your car.

My girl does that stance a few times a month and says name this album cover.
HeyItsHelz@reddit
My phone rang in church one time and my ringtone was 2Live Crew "Hey want some..." I told my mom to answer her phone while reaching in my pocket to silence it. Laughed my ass off for days at the looks people gave her.
greyjedi12345@reddit
Completely forgot about this gem.
vicki-st-elmo@reddit
I'm surprised nobody mentioned Face Down Ass Up!
jcilomliwfgadtm@reddit
Hey we want some p—— from the first album
Crazy_Suggestion_182@reddit
At work the guys have a variant of this:
"Heeeeey, we want some coooooffeeeeee..."
cbrworm@reddit
I’ve told my kids I’ll let them hear what I listened to in middle school when they are a bit older. Like in their 20s.
jcilomliwfgadtm@reddit
Let them listen to sally (that girl)
TroyMatthewJ@reddit
they're not ready for Jane

Came here to see if anyone else remembered that song. It got my brother sent to the principal’s office.
Steve_FLA@reddit
My kids got REAL upset with that one.

Sir Mix-a-lot’s Baby got back is a strong contender

My brother bought a bootleg copy at a fleamarket near us because they weren't selling in Hills Dept Store or Ames.

"I sing song! I sing song!"
Lopsided_Panic_1148@reddit
Me so hahw-ny.
l00ky_here@reddit
I listened to this one. I remember singing the "one and one, we're having some fun, in my bedroom all day and all of the night". To this day even though I haven't heard the song since senior year of high school, I know all the lyrics.
OIL_99@reddit
I have the LP and love the crotch chop on the record center hole
Messymomhair@reddit
So funny how I think we're showing too much skin now, and then I see pictures and videos from when I grow up and go, oh...
TK421philly@reddit
This album caused a scandal in my school. Full assembly meetings and community meetings at the church too. lol. Oh to be in a time when the only big problem is some raunchy song lyrics.
ssort@reddit
They had the full on Demonic Conspiracy thing cooking at my school on metal music, everything supposedly had things embedded in it that you could hear when you played it backwards, but was garbled nonsense in reality. It was going to send us all to hell and make us sacrifice each other for power and money.....
I really hate religion and conservatives, they just can't let anyone enjoy anything they don't like, and they will make up shit to try to stop you too knowing it's fantasy, they have been doing it for over 50 years now, same playbook, just different thing to protest every other week with them, it never changes, they are never happy if someone poor or black is enjoying themselves.

This album started the “Parental Advisory” sticker movement!
vergina_luntz@reddit
Find the clip of them live on The Phil Donahue Show. The audience reaction is worth it. They did not know what was going on, but above all remained polite. It's hysterical.
bylebog@reddit
Story from 10 or so years back: I tend to leave the car stereo at my normal jamming volume. Wife gets in to drive my car to wherever and gets assaulted with Pop That Pussy with open windows at 8am while kids are in front of the house too catch the bus.
I am over fifty and have started lowering the volume while I drive home through my neighborhood.
Lopsided_Panic_1148@reddit
I read your story to my husband. He's not a big laugher.
He laughed his ass off. Well done.

I’ve never read baseball player Buck Martinez‘s baseball card the same since this album dropped.

Several years ago, gosh, probably lots now. The covid era really made time make no sense. Anyway, we were in a quaint little art gallery/bookstore and the proprietor was an older, sweet lady.
When this shit went off as her ring tone, we were doing our best to maintain decorum. It was great.
BIGepidural@reddit
I sing this every time I make miso soup.
Ugh! Miso soupy. Ugh ugh mis soupy! 🕺
My kids hate it 🤣🤣🤣

You have reached super sayian level of dad jokes, way to embarass those kids! Congrats!

I preferred the Geto Boys.

Met Luther up at the Mecca during homecoming . (Howard University for those that don’t know). He gave a business seminar and dude was extremely intelligent.
As someone from Florida this was one of the early Florida Base Groups.
everyoneisnuts@reddit
I would embarrass myself if I played this garbage loud in front of anyone lol. I definitely had this just for the swears, but these guys had zero talent and only were successful because of their going over the top with really ridiculous lyrics. NWA actually had talent and still hold up. Two Live Crew not so much. They were a circus act really.
South_of_Reality@reddit
Lick my ass up and down, lick it to your tongue turns doodoo brown don’t try to be slick and give me a kiss. Come on baby we can do this.
EnvironmentalGap2098@reddit
Always hated this group, no talent.
Therunningman06@reddit
Sigh…. Always love the no talent comments from people who couldn’t do what they claim the people who have no talent do.
buttercreamordeath@reddit
They were pretty good at winning court cases for free speech. So there's that.
Plus, Scarred from Uncle Luke (OG member) was a club anthem. Still got people dancing to it.
https://youtu.be/bSKb0XCboHQ?si=Kbi_winJcOTCKHbA
arlenroy@reddit
I was just talking to someone about Frank Zappa at the congressional hearing, defending free speech, especially this. They went down a Zappa rabbit hole, him making the night time talk circuit, just fucking cooking people. You may not like 2 Live Crew, but without them being targeted god knows what would have happened. You can watch any of Zappa's testimony and his interviews right now, still holds up. His words still ring true.
liverwurstinmypants@reddit
One of my favorite zappa lines. The host adked him if any songs offended him . He responded We are rhe world . Lol
buttercreamordeath@reddit
Yup. They were important as a group. I cannot abide Uncle Luke erasure though when he put out Gen x Club Bangers. Go, Sheila, it's your birthday!

I had to get my hippie mom to buy this for me as a teen and she WENT OFF on the clerks for the PMRC bullshit. (Not that they had anything to do with it…) I wanted it for the shock value and my friends and I played it for a few weeks over the summer and that was that. I did share this song with my kid when he was around 17 and talking about his bad ass nana. He gave me the WTF face and proclaimed it “cringe.” I told him it was terrible but a huge moment in 90’s pop culture.
Sufficient-Buy5360@reddit
Something interesting produced by 2 Live Crew. If the music may be too much.
The 2 Live Crew’s legal battle with the government over their 1989 album As Nasty As They Wanna Be is a landmark case in hip hop and free speech. https://www.google.com/search?q=2+Live+Crew+freedom+of+speech+case&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari
