I just thought I would share, I loved this infographic. Downloading and printing:

Thanks for sharing. We often have new people on here and sometimes they are overwhelmed. This a simple graphic that provides good details on basics. I think it's a great graphic.
I wish it didn't leave off home security and defense... and that's coming from a prepper that is not pushing gun ownership. Although I own and support, it's not the right (or available) solution for all... but home security and defense is still an integral part of prepping.

ready.gov is my suggestion. ET is filthy trash and the fact that you're spamming this to more than one sub tells me you're advertising for them. This sub won't stop you, but in 5 minutes you can find better sources that aren't spouting total bullshit.
I'll say it louder for the people in the back: Epoch Times is utter toxic trash and if it's where you get your information, you're deluded. Period. Outside of some truly f'd-up podcasts I don't know of anything worse. Anyone linking to it is screaming to the world "I have no idea how to tell reality from fiction and you should ignore anything I ever say."
If you have an ounce of shame you'll pull this down. If you're merely shilling for ET, and that's now my strong suspicion, then shame left the building long ago and your next stop is repentance. That is all.

Don't prioritize heating over cooling if you're in a hot climate in a heating world. That's just stupid.
And don't read epoch times.
EatMoarTendies@reddit
You lost me at theepochtimes, sorry.
macetrek@reddit
Epoch times is fucking hot garbage, but this article is actually pretty decent.
rtiffany@reddit
That's pretty much their strategy. My parents read it 'because some of the articles are interesting' and mysteriously my parents also happen to spout off every nonsense conspiracy theory out there. The mix of fake info with real info pulls in such a huge audience - especially the never-fact-check types.

Yup its a Chinese culture front
MrFishAndLoaves@reddit
Exactly, but they call COVID the China virus to throw people off their scent.
RoboDurp@reddit
Wait until I tell you about fox news
macetrek@reddit
Yeah. That’s the problem honestly, if your not able or inclined to understand how to tell the difference, it gives the unhinged things credence.
ClearWisdom@reddit (OP)
oh lol. Crop the name for all I care. Still useful
MrFishAndLoaves@reddit
Ok done
There is not a more malignant outlet in the US and thats saying something.

Appreciated. I didn't want to create an account just to see it.
ContemplatingFolly@reddit
Is it? A lot of what they cover/print is just wrong. I don't know about this pieces.

Lost me at 'stuff to barter' and 'gold coins'

I am a bit confused. The water treatment section mentions water may be abundant, but you should have filters and/ or disinfectants on hand to treat water. However, wasn't one of the concerns with the recent hurricanes that the water is contaminated with chemicals and that's one of the things disinfecting and filtration cannot catch?
ContemplatingFolly@reddit
You are expecting too much from the Epoch Times I fear.
Poppins101@reddit
Thank you. I think the information is pertinent to those who are new to emergency planning and preparation.
Although non conservative folks might disregard the resource because it is from a conservative news media outlet. Which would be ignoring a well put together resource.
Sadly many folks choose to ignore information that could be helpful due to their political or religious views.
I teach food preservation classes and I have found it is best to not add my 2 cents worth of opinion versus teaching the course objectives which are tested safe processes.
It is always a dance in addressing participant beliefs that range from the way great grandma use to do it, to sovereign identity, all government agencies are out to get you, to assorted diet beliefs, to hazardous food processing methods.
Being kind and respectful goes a long way.
ContemplatingFolly@reddit
Unfortunately, I disregard it because a lot of the stuff they publish is flat out wrong, against the most basic science.
GlitteringExcuse5524@reddit
This is great thanks, looks like the only thing I would add is a emergency inflatable boat
ShadowwKnows@reddit
Nice info. How exactly are you printing it?
ClearWisdom@reddit (OP)
There's a link at the bottom of the page: https://img.theepochtimes.com/assets/uploads/2024/10/12/id5740476-NYEET20241002A06_midgreen_darker_v7.3.jpg
I printed in landscape mode.
