Absolutely not. The fuselage is compromised this aircraft cannot be deemed airworthy

Imagine if it were serious and the last thing you ever did was post on Reddit

I wish I had beat you to posting this!

I asked the flight attendant while boarding and she brushed it off / her English isn’t good so wasn’t sure she understood. Was more curious than worried.

Ooh yeah the tail plane is going to fall off. Please tell the pilot to abort his take off until they can get someone to come patch that up...
Every-Progress-1117@reddit
A bit of aviation tape, the tail will never come off after that.
nobodyhere6@reddit
You mean the duct tape boing (the only airline that uses it) trusts to hold the flying metal tube in the air?🤣 checkmate liberal

You would not take off if it was unsafe. As pilots, there is ZERO chance I’m putting my life in danger to have the flight go. What makes you think I’d jeapordize yours any more than mine?

Pull up at the last second at that “crack” will be first 😅
ComprehensiveEar7218@reddit
My god, how many times is this question going to get asked
Poopafly@reddit
God no, save yourself
Rilex1@reddit
that’s a broken left phalange. let the pilots know about it !
XenoRyet@reddit
It's not a "crack", it's an intended structural feature that has to do with moving the control surfaces.
So yes, it's completely normal and an intentionally designed part of the aircraft.

Thanks for the explanation.
I’m gonna get roasted badly but hey at least I learnt something :)
XenoRyet@reddit
Na, no stupid questions, and always a good day when you learn something new.

The massive metal thing sticking out above it moves up and down. That slot lets it move up and down

lmao

Cross posted to r/shittyaskflying for more engagement. I'm curious as well
You're welcome OP

That isn’t a crack. The horizontal stabilizer travels along that track for trimming purposes.
