How many points do I lose for not wearing a seatbelt in the back seat, I got a ticket for it unfortunately.

OP is in upstate New York and has already received a correct answer in another sub. As OP is in college, they are subject to a fine up to $50 with no points added to their license. Of course, a simple Google search would've led them to this easy answer. 🙄😜👍

Question does the passenger get a ticket or the driver does, what if the passenger is an 18 year old shouldn’t they receive a ticket to just teach them a lesson?

May differ from state to state, but generally the driver will only get a ticket when the offender is under a certain age (e.g. 16yo). In most states, when the offender is 16yo+, then they (the offender) get the ticket accordingly.
