ULPT Request : How to perfect a hard drive swap for Amazon return

I have a Seagate EXO drive with a shitload of hours on it and it's about dead. Now I was wondering the best way to actually swap this for a drive on Amazon. I was thinking maybe try and get one of the exact same model but that's quite hard. Now could I get one that just looks very similar? Swap them over and see about swapping the metadata over somehow so they read the same. I'm not quite sure what to go about on this one.

I realize that somebody else maybe sold the drive that's really unfortunate I guess for them I hope that they get their money back promptly because that sucks however I need storage and I am short on money

Is it okay to simply buy a drive and swap the labeling over perfectly or will I have to perform like more precise stuff such as metadata swapping etc I mean wipe the smart status and things like that exactly what do they check or do they perform minimal checks especially if the account has a very good long-standing reputation

There's actually two drives there's a Skyhawk surveillance 4 terabyte and a Seagate SV35 both of which are definitely no good and I was trying to probably swap both of them I guess so would it be best to try and get identical ones or would it not really matter

As long as the form factor and screw positioning fits and stuff, I guess it should be okay, right? And as for metadata, well... Hmm... I can have a look at swapping that over. I'm not sure how that works, but I'm sure it's possible.

I'll post an album or photo shortly. I need storage, I've fallen on hard times, my account has reputation, sue me.
