I just got a ticket on the I-5 failure to drive on the right hand lanes #3-5. Does that count as a point on your license if so how can you not get the point.

Got a lawyer for left lane ticket in Michigan , first time on 75 in that area but they reduced it to impeding traffic and said it would not show on my scores/ license when running reports. Not sure how true that is as I haven’t checked in since but was 275 bucks to pay it

Depends on how the ticket was written. If the infraction was local ordinance or state ordinance, you may have dodged a bullet also if the officer wasn't a DOT certified issuer.

If it was a local ordinance like a county violation, you generally won't see those on your CSA. If it's state, likely depending on what infraction was written and if it is covered by the point system. Regardless hire a lawyer, any infraction is worth fighting considering that if the officer doesn't show you automatically win. Also most attorneys can get it reduced to a non-moving infraction which preserves your license.

Every state has their own point systems, check with your state's DMV. If you want to avoid the points, get a lawyer.
