Driving Anxiety.. taking lessons. Help?

I recently started taking driving lessons and i’m in my thirties live in Canada and I feel like I keep messing up the rules of the road when it comes to when to turn and hit gas for left turns and right turns… turning the wheel the right way.

I have 10 lessons and i’ve done 6 so far and I don’t feel confident on the road or anywhere near to take the test to get my license.

I think i took more lessons. Study any handbooks on the driving rules and scenarios. That helped me. Also watching dash cam videos of driving tests/lessons especially where there are notes or a person explaining what to do etc. i have also watched car crash/ bad driver dash videos. So i could try and figure out what to do in scenarios. And seriously. Read the rules. Place yourself in those situations mentally. There should also be pictographs/ diagrams? Idk. of driving scenarios and rules/ laws. Is your anxiety always bad?

Also like. If you have spent 30 years not driving. Its totally normal to take longer to learn. Talk to your driving instructor. If they are any good they will help you with everything and guide you through what you need to learn. If not. Find a new instructor

You might consider talking to a counselor or therapist about anxiety.

Get a bus pass, there’s enough shit driver on the road.
