2008 G37s 5AT, whenever I give 40% or more throttle suddenly, my dash lights up with VDC light, Slip light, and Emergency brake light. Drivability isn't effected at all. Also, shifting into Sport and turning on paddle shifting mode doesn't seem to work, it just switches back into regular D.

A good start would be to figure out what code it's throwing. It should store the code even if it's not active afterwards, and a good scanner can read the stored code. Apparently, those 3 lights appearing can mean a brake-related code on Infinitis. For example, brake fluid could be low, and under hard acceleration the fluid sloshes back and the sensor throws the code for low brake fluid.

Thank you! I'll check the fluid

Oil change interval is 8000 km or 6 months. I have always used the 8000 km interval for my oil changes which usually falls between 8 to 10 months. How important is the calender limit on an oil change?
Bonerchill@reddit
If your oil is synthetic, your filter is quality, and your car is driven 20+ minutes every time you drive it, you can go years without using up the entirety of your oil’s additive package.
Oil is fun. Almost everyone has no idea what they’re talking about, almost everyone has an opinion, and most are worth less than the electricity they consume within a server farm.

It’s generally a “whichever comes first” sort of instruction, so I’d go with the 6 months.

the only way to know is to test your oil after hitting both scenarios and then do it again for verification. science doesn't lie.

personally at a minimum I would change the oil every 6 months if you live in a place that has all 4 seasons. There's a lot of moisture contamination that can happen with temp swings.

Do Subarus really need a differential flush ever 30,000 miles with mostly highway miles, no harsh driving, etc? Just seems excessive.
Pleasant_Reaction_10@reddit
absolutely yes, the rear diff is small and gets fairly hot. On any model the fluids should be changed out regularly. Specifically for Subaru's you should be doing the front and rear Diffs every 30,000 miles. CVT fluid every 30-50k miles.
