Edd has two of these. He had both of them out at the Fawley Hill Vintage Transport Festival this year, back in may. I got a couple pictures stuck on an SD card somewhere.
My dad drove one of these once. He worked in a British Leyland dealership in the early 70s and this was there for some reason. Based on a Mini, I believe. He brought it home to show his mum.
Probably! I wouldn't put it past him. That bed in the photo I posted goes 100mph and holds the Guinness record for fastest bed or something! Making a pea car is probably straightforward compared to that!

So theres an orange car, a hotdog car, and a pea car, what other food style cars do we have?
crucible@reddit
Cadbury’s Creme Egg car
gustinnian@reddit
Richard Scarry would like a word.

He built a pea car similar to this didnt he? Remember seeing a pea car here i think.
crucible@reddit
The pea car is not Edd’s, that was done by a VFX company for a TV commercial for frozen peas.

Bazurke@reddit
Oh yeah I guessed that, I was just saying he's clearly into doing quirky things, whether building or fixing
crucible@reddit
Yes. He restored one for a TV / web series
mini4x@reddit
It is, there an episode of his show where he goes over that a hunk of junk this is. It's based on a Mini iirc.
Sioscottecs23@reddit

I sent him that video link, and he said
‘Thanks. I remember it well. It was based on a Mini Automatic. There were six of them made to advertise Outspan oranges.’
Khevhig@reddit
Ha ha, people talk about "orange peel" paint jobs but this is a literal orange.
elkab0ng@reddit
Love it! It makes me think of the interior of the bottle in “I dream of Jeannie”!

And sweat. Doesn’t seem like the windows can open and I don’t think I see any form of ventilation, and most definitively no AC.
