Yup, as the title states, finally had my first solo! Many challenges along the way to get here but I am excited for what’s to come now. What advice do you all have for the next stage of training?
I fly 4x a week so hoping to knock out a lot of this as soon as I can (before midwest winter hits!!) I switched from an LSA to a 172 mid-training and it’s been a journey but i’m super glad I finally did it! The peace I felt on that first takeoff was sublime.

Congrats! You’ll definitely knock it out at 4x a week. That’s the way to do it imo.

I do! Flying a bit further out west in IL. Yay for cornfields 🤠

Congrats pilot! Glad you enjoyed the second best flight there is -- IMO. (The checkride pass is even better).
The senior CFI at our club called me "pilot" after my solo. I demurred, saying something like "just a student still but thanks." He got in my face all serious and said "Did you just fly one of my airplanes without an instructor? That makes you a pilot".
Flying 4X a week is awesome. Now get back to work. :)

That checkride pass will be a glorious day. Same thing happened to me, almost word for word situation. I felt like such an imposter being called that! Yes….back to the books!!
