Judging by the number of people the Joker has killed. There are surely many that were related to some inmates. Children, parents, siblings, wives, and so on. So I'm 100% sure they would want revenge.
Why would the first thing you want to do is rape if you were supposedly a normal person? I think most in that scenario would want to kill him, beat him to a bloody pulp, or break his arms/legs before the thought of raping an anemic clown that looks like he was on a two week crack/meth bender.
I don't mean to be like a devil's advocate or whatever but he did get put in an insane asylum for violent criminals, not a general population prison. Not really normal people in there.
While Donald Trump, arguably his highest profile client, was the president.
While Bill Barr, who's dad was likely (https://time.com/5650974/william-barr-jeffrey-epstein/)[another Epstein client], was Attorney General.
Is that the "Clinton Necklace". you're referring to? Because it was an entirely different group of predators who had the keys to the kingdom when that shit went down.
Remind me again, who was it that Epstein had a portrait of in a blue dress? Was that Donald Trump? No... methinks it was arguably his highest profile client.
When it comes to the specific question of "Who murdered Epstein?". Absolutely.
We can argue that both Bill and Donald (AND Bill Barr) had a motive. Only Donald and the people in his orbit realistically had the means and opportunity. Plus, in the unlikely event Donald didn't give the order, his DOJ could have done a much better job investigating the death - something they absolutely didn't do.
Also, Hillary lost a presidential election and didn't incite a violent riot as part of an attempted coup d'etat (several co-conspirators of which are currently on trial or in prison). So there's another area where Trump is demonstrably worse.
Under Bill, the USA also didn't have pregnant women bleeding out in red state ERs because doctors are legally forbidden from providing medical care. That didn't happen until Trump stacked the Supreme Court to overturn decades of established legal precedent.
So, we'll say three distinct things where Donald was far worse than the Clintons. This is far from an exhaustive list, of course.
This is the Joker equivalent of that scene in Batman Begins where Bruce explains the need for Batman.
Arthur Fleck showed Gotham insanity. He gave them a bite of the Apple of Eden. It can never be taken back. It has descended past an unseen threshold, and will only deteriorate further. Arthur Fleck has lost control of Joker. The Joker has become more than the man. That's why what happens to Arthur doesn't matter anymore. The psycho who stabbed him to death could be the next to wear the visage, or he could be shot dead moments after the camera stops, we don't know, but there will always be another Joker.
Whole I love your take on it, I think people also love the idea of the person behind the character staying the same. If Bruce Wayne died in the next movie to some thugs and some other person is inspired to be the bat, I'm sure there would also be Internet drama. It could be a well don't and compelling story, but peoywouod still have issues with it. Taking what you said and reversing it, but I really like how you said joker is a symbol - makes sense.
Nah, the way Arthur suffered and died in the end also mattered. It's very important that the violence that takes his life to be callous, spontaneous, and pointless. That's his legacy on Gotham. The equivalent for Batman and the other heroes would be when they die while fighting evil, and citizens take it upon themselves to fight back in the hero's place.
Nah, it didn’t strike a nerve with them. They just talk about it because they know it triggers the type of people who were gonna shit on the movie, regardless of quality.
That was the logic behind making the sequel, because they thought only incels liked the first one.
Turns out, people in general liked the first one because it was a genuinely decent film. It never sparked some "incel revolution" like the news was afraid of.
Turns out, if you focus on making a decent film, instead of "punishing" an audience that actually doesn't exist, people love it and you make a lot of money.
Always find it funny that the same people that scream "We cannot let these incels disproportionately influence us" proceed to bend over backwards to dab on said incels. Seems like they influenced you
Anyone who thinks the filmmakers went into this with the idea of “punishing” the original films audience for not sharing their politics is COMPLETELY and irredeemably brain rotted.
I'm sorry, I have a hard time believing the filmmakers and the production company would spend millions of dollars on getting back at incels. Sounds like they just made a shitty but unintentionally hilarious movie.
well known for a while? by...a single film critic and other people butthurt (heh) that their brooding antihero got assraped I guess. Maybe if people spent less time feeling victimized and more time doing literally anything else, they wouldn't need to feel this way.
Oh yeah dude no argument there, this movie sounds like shit. I just don't believe it was made specifically to piss off people who liked the first movie. Sounds like a conspiracy theory.
The only statements in the article you linked that get anywhere near the topic are along the lines that the movie is “essentially” a middle finger to the fans.
Statements about the effect of the movie say absolutely nothing about the actual intention of the filmmakers and go absolutely nowhere to proving your point.

Okay but punitive rape is inhuman. Especially when the ol' Clinton necktie is always an option.

Midnight_Rising@reddit
it's only been out for 10 days. How long did we spend joking about Napoleon being a cuck last year? Because it was longer than this.
Plus we finally got cinematic confirmation that you can rape the Joker out of being the Joker. It's not very often depicted that rape is a good thing.
Ahriman27@reddit
Joaquin phoenix both times. Damn. Maybe that’s why he dropped that other movie? Maybe he’s getting blackmailed into these, as a humiliation ritual.
Casca2222@reddit

maybe this is the way we fix incels, just find every character they admire and produce media of them getting ass raped. soon they will have no idols
