About the end of "Ten Little Warlords" did they use a stand in for Lucy Lawless when Xena was back in her own body?

I never noticed this before when Xena gets her body back at the end of TLW, the camera only shows Xena's face through stock footage from the opening credits but when we see Xena walking with Gabrielle we don't see Lucy at all, did they use a stand in for the physical part?

Normally I tend to really dislike episodes without the main star that are obvious filler trying to cover for their absence - but in Xena's case epidsodes with Callisto, Ares, Joxer, Autolycus are some of the best!
Same goes for Hercules.
Supporting cast is just too good, I really do enjoy their episodes.

I love Hudson and Bruce Campbell and Ted Rami aka joxer the mighty

hudson said they had originally killed callisto off for good, those scenes were shot, and then called her back due to the injury

I definitely felt bad that Lucy got injured, but I think that the writers (and some of our favorite guest stars) showed some real ingenuity when they managed to work around it.
Some of my favorite season 2 episodes came out of that catastrophe, not that anyone could replace Lucy of course, but they got to do some interesting things.

I'm sure the lesbians that ship them aren't mad either.
That kiss (Xena in Autolycus's body) would not have happened had they stuck to their original plan.

Yes. Lucy was badly injured in S2. That's why there's so many multi-episode arcs where she's missing in the second one.
The original ending of Intimate Stranger had them switching back, but was rewritten so that Hudson could fill in for Lucy for TLW, which was just about start shooting. Then they rewrote the ending of Destiny and wrote "The Quest" on the fly so Bruce Campbell could fill in for her next, and added For Whom the Bell Tolls so Ted Raimi could step in too.
Luckily, they had already shot a lot of the stand-alone comedic episodes, so they just aired those a little out of order, so that viewers never went more than one week without seeing Lucy as Xena.

Was that shot of Xena back in her own body walking with Gabrielle was that a double? cause they don't show LL's face
EvaHalliwell@reddit
I always assumed it was her stuntdouble, I dont know why but something feels off;)
carz4us@reddit
I might have been her stunt double, the wonderful Zoe Bell.
10Panoptica@reddit
Yeah, it was a double. IIRC, this was the first episode they shot immediately after the accident.

Yes.

So this is the only episode of Xena where LL doesn't appear at all except through stock footage and recorded lines?
mk93wp@reddit
Exactly! Renee was hugging a double. Lucy only added her voice to that scene.

if you have amazon prime, it could be in the trivia. they have trivia for xena and i love watching on my computer so i can pause the episode and read the trivia.
Brotein1992@reddit
Yes. In tv and filmmaking if you don't see the actors face there's a very good chance it's a body double.
RiversSecondWife@reddit
I think that was when Lucy broke her hip. The reason Hudson played Xena for a while was to give Lucy time to recover.
IseQween@reddit
Yes, and I'm pretty sure that is indeed a Lucy double.
