Seeking advice

Hello everyone! I’m really considering this company for my first CDL job, to get experience and move on to better opportunities. I wanted to see if y’all have any experience or advice you could share about this company. I’d be doing the refresher course with them as it’s been more than a year with my CDL. Any information on them would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

It's funny how some things stick with you. Years ago, 20, 25 years ago, I was at this grocery warehouse in Melrose Park IL, and this driver was hotter than a cat on a hot tub roof, bitching and moaning about his company. He comes up to me telling me that I should never work for that outfit. Obviously he was just a disgruntled driver, as most are but it stuck with me to never work for FFE.
Of course this is just a story but every time I see FFE, remember that guy being so pissed off.

Damn. Maybe he just had a bad day in trucking? lol I’m hoping for the best but bracing for the worst.

I'm actually surprised about the home-time policy. I haven't seen any companies where you accrue 2 days for every seven out.

Find out if they max out your 70hr limit or run you on recaps, and what the typical mileage is. 50cpm-60cpm seems okay, until you find out it's average of 1500-2000 miles a week, which would mean an average weekly paycheck from $750 up to about $1200 before taxes in this case.
If it's recaps, you would be averaging about maybe $175-$300 per day, obviously depending on cpm and how many miles you get dispatched.

I have some questions written down for when I call them today. This is going on that list, thank you!

I didn’t drive for them but that’s pretty good pay for first job.
