Food/Beverage delivery is rough

Today was my first day at a Beverage delivery job and I gotta say, I have newfound respect for what you guys do because this is a bitch. I feel like an out of shape weakling, im beat and aching all over, and it’s barely Monday. Now granted, my last job was a work from home customer service position where I never left my desk so I’m sure I just have to acclimate and get used to it. But frankly, I was embarrassed by having the guy training moving those cases and dollies effortlessly while I struggled. Shoutout to you delivery guys out there, you definitely work hard for your money.

lol yeah… I was doing eggs. Unloading in stores as well as loading at farms. In the winter in the snow too. One time I slipped on the tailgate and and to choose between falling 6 feet or slamming my knee into the latch mounted to the deck. I chose latch. I was hurting for months.

It’s all about the techniques

I work for a Beer distributor. You will feel like dying for the first few weeks. Your forearms, shoulders and legs are going to hurt for a bit. Just push through. Piece of advice. Use your wheels as much as you can. Also, get a back brace and not a cheap one.

It indeed sucks. I did soda for 6 months and rolled out. Not worth it. But yes like other guys say, you get in good shape

I got my CDL at a beer distributor. Pay was excellent but you worked for it. On heavy days they gave me a helper. Man I miss that job. Best shape of my life.

Give it 3 months. You'll be stronger for it and not even sweat it anymore
