No.. But I do it for myself 👀 I discovered it really helped me with memorising French pronunciation in high school and I've been doing it for languages ever since. Obviously, the point is not to pronounce it with a thick Bulgarian accent, it's just to remind me how to read the damn thing before I memorise it wrong.

Yes, as a kid I went to Institute for Foreign Languages in Jovanova, Belgrade, and that's how we learned to read English.

But this is done only on first level-before learning English alphabet.

No, in Ukraine when I taught English years ago students had learned the International Phonetic Alphabet by the time they were in grade 4 or so. Sometimes you’d transliterate a word into Russian or Ukrainian but mostly for comedy or for an elder person who didn’t know any English.
