Who remembers the smell of a fresh Nerf ball!NFL pencils were currency in grade school. I literally picked out these curtains.

I used to collect the figures used for the old NFL tabletop vibrating football games, then I'd put numbers on them to match the real life teams players. Then I'd line them up in actual formations. What else was a 10 year old football obsessed nerd going to do in the days before the internet?

So true! That's a great memory. Things were so different pre- internet. Oh damn I remember those so well! I had a mechanical one that could actually throw a football and then you could move players to block it. I had a soccer one too. That's so cool! They just don't like toys like that anymore...

Nice! I got to decorate my new room when my parents expanded the house. I was allowed to pick out everything, carpet, curtains, wallpaper etc. It's still an original condition at my parent's house.😁

Nice! We traded these pencils in grade school hot and heavy. Steelers, cowboys and saints were the most sought after as I recall. No idea why

The Saints? They were awful back then. Didn’t make the playoffs until 1987 for their first two decades in existence.

That's such a great story thank you! Yeah they were made to last. The curtains are used but the colors are still so bright and it's made of extremely thick fabric

I had that pattern on a pillow. I should actually say that I HAVE that pattern on a pillow. My grandfather gave it to me when I was a kid (I can’t help but wonder if I had the sheets and curtains, also) and it’s still in my possession 40 years later. I stopped using it a while ago, but probably got a good 20 years of using it before just retiring it to a closet.
