Studying Whiles Traveling

Hi everyone, can anyone please share their experience studying/ taking exams while traveling with me? I have two current itineraries, one which is cheaper and offers me more days, but I will have to take an exam during that period. It will be while in Japan. I’m worried about not having the peace and quiet to study while traveling. Additionally, I would have to be with my laptop which I would rather not.
The second option is to take the exams at home and travel after that. With that, I lose 10 days and leave my laptop behind. It is also $350 more expensive for flights since prices have gone up.
What would you do in my situation? Or could anyone please share their experience with me? Thank you so much!

Digital Nomad weighing in.
If I had a choice between 3 months in Europe while working OR 3 weeks in Europe not working, I would chose the 3 weeks. Studying/working on the go is difficult, but only you know if you can grind it out. You probably can.
For me, I spend more money traveling than at home, with more incidental costs popping up. And the stress about finding wifi for meetings, lining up schedule, etc is a real downside. The only part that makes this not a no brainer is that you will have to pay more to go for less time.
In that case I’d weigh if you think the $350 you save on the longer cheaper trip is more than the expenses you incur on this extended trip whilst prepping for your exam.
In my opinion…shorter trip that you’ll actually enjoy and be present for.

Thank you for this! I didn’t even think about WiFi and all. In the grand scheme of things, $350 is not too bad.

Just make sure you have a place to stay on the day of your exam
