Convertible Trabant

I was in Dresden last week. My friend there arranged to rent a Trabant. We arrived, and my other buddy (a Brit, of course) sees a convertible is an upgrade option, so of course we had to do that.
It looked way better than its 26bhp deserve: Zwickau never produced anything this sporty! It easily got more attention than anything else I’ve ever driven, and not just because a 600cc 2-stroke sounds like the world’s largest chainsaw motor.

That must have been quite the experience, I've always wanted to give one a try :)

You can buy a kit to convert one. But they are getting rare

But, with no heated rear window, how will the driver keep their hands from getting cold?

They're rubbish, but they're fun rubbish

We also had to convince them that yes, there are Americans who know how to drive a manual. Especially funny to me since I’ve always had one, but the Brit hadn’t driven stick since he moved back to the UK from the US!
