Ok, so they have the choice to stay underground, or as you said, make the Israelis job easy for them - die, put plainly. Meanwhile, as alluding to my comment, Israel does not require evidence of presence of Hamas troops to raze any part of Gaza. They just assume they are everywhere and everywhere is a base, as long as they all don't gather on a field. Hamas are also not allowed to target Israeli civilian population centers on the same basis, because they are terrorists and not a state, despite the fact that individual IDF troops may also be anywhere (making anyone near them a human shield by the same standards), and every adult Israeli civilian is trained for war.

This has multiple issues.

If you care about civillians and the choice is put large scale military equipment that can create and launch missiles under civillian buildings, knowing they're going to be attacked and civillians will die, or don't attack the people who will respond, you don't care about civillians if you take option A.

If you run the govt, the schools and you put martyrdom for your country and payment to the families of martyrs as a core tenet of your identity then you don't care about civillians.

Gaza had Israeli settlements taken out, they were given a ceasefire and Hamas used it to build up weapons and eventually launch the worst terrorist attack in recent Israeli history, that is not caring about civillians.

The idea that Hamas has no option but to let Israel kill citizens and that this is simply what Israel does is the sort of propaganda no one should be falling for, Hamas doesn't care about civillian lives and Hamas backers are quite prepared to fight Israel to the last Palestinian.

Then the idea that Israel doesn't get push back but Hamas unfairly does.

I'm not sure what country you're from but that's nonsense. Israel killing civillians is front page news everywhere, Hamas rocket attacks barely get mentioned.

You are holding Hamas...Hamas to lower standards here seemingly in order to simply push the idea that Israel is worse and therefore maintain some sort of moral superiority for (again) Hamas. You're paintin Hamas as almost unwilling participants in war crimes, forced into it by those bastardly technologically superior Israelis as though Hamas have no other choice than to spend all their aid money on weapons to attack Israel.

I get it, the line between pro palestine and anti Israel is a very thin one but there are times where you have to accept that the terrorists are worse than the 'bad guys' even when both of them are committing war crimes.
