Someone in my city is selling one without the can and all the advertising stuff on it. I was thinking of buying it, but is still has the two fridges for drinks in the back, so it's basically useless since no trunk space. I'd turn it into a pickup but I don't have the means to or know of any body shop who can do it.
Big shops take a minimum of three hours, having to drive between Costco and other stores. I live in NYC so between traffic and managing crowds it’s a pain in the ass. It’s just one of those 30L titans.
I live in Europe, so I wouldn't really have to use it for that purpose. I'm 5 minutes away from the nearest mall and I'd say around an hour away from the biggest one at best, so the coolers wouldn't be necessary due to the short distance. It would be good for going to the market and bringing fresh food, but I do that too rarely for me to get a car solely for that.

It’s parked at a residence like he just drives around every day looking like he’s about to launch a Red Bull rocket into space

I found one of these last year or so in my Ontario city. It was outside a university pharmacy. No clue what they were doing there.
squeezyscorpion@reddit
if you were near a US college campus in the 2000s or 2010s then you saw one of these
cocainebane@reddit
Saw one at CSULB last week

I still see these. They come through the neighborhood in Dallas I work in sometimes doing promos with the bars around there.

Grocery store vehicle, I have a cooler in my car for Costco days
G0pherholes@reddit
How long is your trip to Costco that you need a cooler?

Most popular guy at the tailgate in a heartbeat
chambee@reddit
What have they done with the brake light that use to be in the can?
TERRAVEX_357@reddit
that I have no idea about
LightningFerret04@reddit
Solution is fill the back with your own drinks!
Cute_Reference7957@reddit
This car is like me. We don’t need fuel/food, we need energy drinks
MiketheBike88@reddit
In 2000 a neighbor in my apartment used to drive one of these for work. She was always trying to find a new job.
SP4x@reddit
I want one of these so badly, I'd fit it for a baby 5th wheel camper!
ArDodger@reddit
Seriously, you've NEVER seen one of these before?
That's why we need separate subreddits for rural-weirdwheels and cosmopolitan-weirdwheels
SilverHeart4053@reddit
Who said OP hasn't seen this weird car before?
r2d2rigo@reddit (OP)
As the subreddit's name implies, it's not about rare cars, it's about weird ones.
And yes, it's been quite a while since I last saw one. They were everywhere in the early 2010s but not so much in 2024.
old_keyboard@reddit
Pretty commonplace during mid '00s to early '10s.
Sword-of-Akasha@reddit
King Kong catches the car and is disappointed the can is empty.
