Gabrielle and her weird Queen status

So, okay, we know that Gabrielle was a rightful Amazon Princess and later Queen in the Telaquire Tribe, as Queen Melosa's younger sister passed her the right of caste. What is never explained throughout the series, is how Gabrielle ends up being Queen in other tribes.

I can understand that even though Amazons operate in many different tribes, they recognise each other as allies and "sisters" and therefore they recognise the status of an Amazon Queen. It is however weird how Gabrielle as an Amazon Queen, ends up being the Queen.

I would get it if the previous Queen of a tribe recently died and with Gabrielle (already a queen) being there, they asked her to temporarily replace the position, but that's exactly why there are heirs/second leaders specially trained to take over at some point. And ofc, when it comes to her original tribe, based on amazon law, she has the right to claim back her throne at anytime, but the other tribes have similar laws and to them Gabrielle is just a Queen to a different tribe.

Then, when the various tribes united to form the Amazon Nation with Varia as the Queen Supreme and the other Queens as members of the Council, Gabrielle didn't even receive an invitation, because of course she was not (and almost never is) an active queen. Yet, she went there, demanded a seat which was not denied, even though Cyane III was already there representing her tribe in her place and the moment Varia was captured, she immediately became the leader of the nation without any explanation and despite the fact that she came as an outsider, always being absent and the fact that many other queens and members of the council were there. On top of that, when Varia betrayed her, she went all alone, grabbed her necklace and told her "you are no longer Queen" and she straight away became the Queen of the nation with nobody saying anything.

I, of course, like Gabrielle as a character, but that whole thing with her being Queen all the time was stupid and unfair for one main reason: 1) The heirs to the throne or 2nd leaders were literally trained women that lived everyday of their life in the tribe as amazons, serving as the right hand of the queen, they knew everything about the tribe, the lands, the traditions, the problems, the enemies etc and then we have a random girl (sorry) who's an amazon only by title, spends a good few days or weeks in tribes claiming the Queen status and then just appoints someone to serve in her place and leaves on adventures elsewhere. I understand how the writers had this like that to develop the story, but imo Gabrielle should have given up her right as queen the moment she decided she was not gonna live her life as an amazon. Presenting a few scenes with explanations on how we got there (eg the council agreeing) would have also been helpful.
