r/ShootingBrake material!
Meshguru@reddit
There was also at least one Gunther Artz 924 Turbo.
For the fans of unusual wagon conversions, these are readily available in 1/43, in resin:
PremiumX PR0381 1979 Porsche 928S Kombi Artz
PremiumX PR0378 1981 Porsche 924 Turbo Kombi Artz
Tacot Kits Porshce 928 Brake Artz
There are also handmades in resin 1/18 -- the first of their manufacturing line:
PremiumX PRX18001 Porsche 924 Turbo Wagon Artz
PremiumX PRX18002 1979 Porsche 928 S Kombi Artz
They're all OOP, but they can be found online. For some reason there are always people willing to part with the miniatures.....

One for a reason clearly.

Probably was costly as hell when it was new. Allegedly built to get around luxury tax in Norway.
TANGO_7@reddit
now i want to see one that's a ute
Random_Introvert_42@reddit (OP)
Here you go, based off a 944 though.
ARottenPear@reddit
A 6 wheel ute nonetheless. Dayum
Random_Introvert_42@reddit (OP)
It belongs to a restoration/modification-shop for Porsche 914 here in Germany. It was actually listed for sale for a while, but I don't know if it changed hands.
TANGO_7@reddit
wow lmao
Tolstoy_mc@reddit
I want to hate it. But I don't.

all I have to say is
tortus@reddit
I was never a fan of the 928 or 944, so this at least makes it more interesting to me. Everyone is right about the rear roof though, it even bends up a little at about the center of the rear wheel.
perldawg@reddit
really could have softened that rear roof angle. it’s not like the car is actually meant to carry especially bulky cargo
Actual-Money7868@reddit
Perfect for delivering pizzas
3amGreenCoffee@reddit
The angle of the rear hatch doesn't blend well at all with the rounded rear. It makes it look like it's carrying a big load in its diaper.

If you're gonna make a wagon why not make it practical\^\^
It even has a tow-hook for a trailer.
xaxiomatikx@reddit
If you’re going to bother putting that much body work into a Porsche, why not make the styling at least vaguely match the original car?
Random_Introvert_42@reddit (OP)
Because the original car is a coupe and you want a boxy rear section in a wagon.
Speed_Addixt@reddit
I agree it looks bad. If that edge was just few centimeters lower, it would be amazing.
UnibrowDuck@reddit
yeah should've just matched the shape of the front windows
Users5252@reddit
Lowering the roof a little bit at the rear wouldn't really make it any less practical
3amGreenCoffee@reddit
Well that's a relief.
agenturensohn@reddit
1 of 1 – it better be....
elkab0ng@reddit
I think just a slightly more beefy rear pillar and it would be perfect. That said, not at all unpleasant on the eye to me. And it turns an otherwise hard to pigeonhole car into an honest to goodness shooting brake.
mini4x@reddit
That rear roofline is terrible...
JoeBlow509@reddit
Love me a shooting brake!
SubtractOneMore@reddit
The world needs more shooting brakes!
Gimmesoamoah@reddit
Bad Roofline!
Scooting Brake..
bmgguima@reddit
I can see this becoming a sick ute
