I hated Jukes until I got stuck with one as a rental. It's truly a pleasure to drive. The car is designed around the driver and is surprisingly nimble.
I honestly don't see why everyone hates it, though another comment pointed out it kind of looks like a modern Vehicross, which is probably why I like it.
Right? I don’t hate it, kind of like it in a weird way, but I have to wonder if they did anything to the engine because I can’t see a stock car handling those mods very well.
Yep, FWD only. The same Sophie's choice you have to make with the matrix/vibe, challenger, and the majority of the small SUVs you could get with a stick
Oh I remember someone in my hometown had one of those Suzuki off road car two door numbers, and put something like 33s or 35s on it and it straight looked like a bad Tonka truck.
Honestky it looks right at home in this configuration. The front curvy, rounded design and the geometrical shape of the driver and passenger compartment along with the dropoff toward the rear really makes this juke look like an off-road toy.
Exactly, whereas as a street car all these details look stupid; the giant bulbous wheelarches suddenly start making sense with enormous wheels under them, the double headlights suddenly start making sense if you think about the lightbars/spotlights commonly found on other off-road vehicles, and even the weird hole-drilled front bumper kinda makes sense since it resembles a skidplate such as this.
I never thought one of those would be driving around. It’s a Toyota concept car. They’re ridiculously powerful. I have a hot wheels of it and I was curious on what it was so I looked it up and did a ton of research into it. I don’t remember the name exactlyversion and a normal version the version 2000 hp
Hope they upgraded the 1.6L engine & CVT. If not they will b/c that transmission will fail pretty quick with those tires. Even before the trans fails (which it will) this thing probably has a 0-60 of 4-5 minutes. Looks cool, but if it’s stock Nissan under the hood, looks are all it has.
Redzero062@reddit
That looks like a super bull dog that runs from it's own shadow
Friendly_Dark908@reddit
Thought this was an Isuzu Vehicross at first
ch33zyman@reddit
The juke is one of my most hated cars of all time, aesthetically. This actually makes it looks kinda cool. Bravo

If only it weren't so butt ugly.
pavlov_the_dog@reddit
it's the skinny tires. the engineers skipped leg day.
3amGreenCoffee@reddit
Nah, it's the face only an alien or crustacean could love.
pavlov_the_dog@reddit
Wait, wait, i got it. You know what this needs? It needs a convertible option. Yeah? :D

I honestly don't see why everyone hates it, though another comment pointed out it kind of looks like a modern Vehicross, which is probably why I like it.
Insert Marge Simpson I just think it's neat gif
solvsamorvincet@reddit
Yeah the Juke is one of my most hated cars but this actually kind of fucks?
YokaiDealer@reddit
The aggressive design works in this context but not for a stock family hauler on fuel efficient wheels/tires
So yeah I agree, this fucks
ima-bigdeal@reddit
That is a good way to put it, and I agree.
Assholesfullofelbows@reddit
I'll be honest, I'm not mad about it. 5/7 would roll it in the sand dunes and not be sad for the loss.
ask-design-reddit@reddit
The guy that owns this is a Redditor. Not sure if they're still active on this website, but iirc it's actually used and not just a mall crawler
HandyCapInYoAss@reddit
I keep hearing this, but the owner and builder is a girl I’m friends with on Twitter. It’s got orange stripes now.
She also has a lifted Kia Soul that she’s cut up and stuck 30”s on it.
ask-design-reddit@reddit
Okay, hear me out. I had to look into this because I swear the owner was a guy. I followed their IG, always liked their stuff, etc.
I found their YouTube channel and.. they have been MtF since last year.

Skip to 4:50 for the reveal. She definitely has a sense of humour.
Muscle_Bitch@reddit
Lmao, it's criminal that the video has less than 1k views
pac4@reddit
That’s really funny
xaxiomatikx@reddit
That was surprisingly hilarious.
HandyCapInYoAss@reddit
Oh lmao how have I not seen this?!
That’s incredible, and also I’m glad somebody else wasn’t taking credit for her build lol
ask-design-reddit@reddit
Yeah when you told me I thought someone was taking credit for the Juke build and I was about to be so upset
HandyCapInYoAss@reddit
Truly a happy ending lol
ultrafunkmiester@reddit
Link? Sounds kind of fun.

"mall crawler" can be made to sound much more positive by just.......tossing out a few letters and meshing words:
-Mcrawler
-Marawler
-Mawller

Right? I don’t hate it, kind of like it in a weird way, but I have to wonder if they did anything to the engine because I can’t see a stock car handling those mods very well.
adultagainstmywill@reddit
Those things struggle to move around with the stock tires. This looks cool, but hopefully it’s on a different chassis or something…
xaxiomatikx@reddit
In the US they had 188 hp, which is plenty for a 3,000 lb car. But with 33” tires, maybe not so much.
nannerpuss74@reddit
looks nice but still (screams in CVT transmission failure)
Beatus_Vir@reddit
It could be a stick shift...provided it's front wheel drive
KdF-wagen@reddit
Did they make a manual juke??
Beatus_Vir@reddit
Yep, FWD only. The same Sophie's choice you have to make with the matrix/vibe, challenger, and the majority of the small SUVs you could get with a stick

Wow I'm shocked how natural that actually looks on this car.
1-1111-1110-1111@reddit
To be honest that’s a beast. I sort of wish someone would pull this off as a factory build
JudgeScorpio@reddit
Have you heard of the Local Motors Rally Fighter?
1-1111-1110-1111@reddit
Yeah but I don’t want to have to get a second mortgage just to play around

Shame they don’t do them anymore
Frankie_T9000@reddit
I love this look, the standard Juke is butt ugly but this looks pretty swish
Zigor022@reddit
I think of the 4x4 from Crackdown
ronorrhea@reddit
Isuzu Vehicross was pretty much this. Would be sick to get something like this that's more modern

This is probably why I actually like the Juke. Lol

ArmoredOutlaw@reddit
I can’t hate it, as much as I want to
elt0p0@reddit
I want one! It would be perfect here in rural Maine, especially during mud season.

I think it looksThe Nuts. Does the small engine let it down or does it cope alright?
pavlov_the_dog@reddit
This is what it wqs meant to be
homelessscootaloo@reddit

sticks-in-spokes@reddit
I’ve always said the juke doesn’t look bad, it just needs a small lift and bigger wheels. Its shaped like a rally/dakar racer. So much potential
Ti47_867@reddit
Herbie on roids.
Mediocre_A_Tuin@reddit
Looks much better.
Mostly because it's impossible to make a regular Juke look any worse.
saarlac@reddit
hate that i dont hate it
CaleyAg-gro@reddit
I like it, but I fear for it’s transmission trying to turn those big tyres.
Y-Bob@reddit
This is proof that a lift can make any car much better. I hate Jukes, but that... that I'd stop and look at.
Hoggchoppa@reddit
It looks more "correct" than a stock duke. I'm confused. Maybe that's what it was meant to be?

Nissan should offer this as a premium trim.

It's actually worth it's own existence now!
HurryOk5256@reddit
That Juke is JACKED.
KarmaG12@reddit
It’s a vast improvement over factory build.
Barbarian_818@reddit
I kind of like it. It's got a serious toy car vibe. I just don't think the stock drivetrain is really up to actual offroad use.
Tylenol_the_Creator@reddit
LS swap and a full rally livery and I’m in love
tuxduran@reddit
This is actually awesome. I would drive one like this.
PVT_Huds0n@reddit
