Hello, FIL has this. Story is that it was his grandfathers-grandfathers for goose hunting in Quebec so late 1800s? Fireing pins are removed and dont know if anything else is missing. Only marking is the neumann bros on each side. No serial. Just looking for any context of date or quality at the time, like was it innexpensive or did the ancestor have good taste? Cheers!

Hey I know you said the firing pins are removed, which is probably for the best. See those rings on the barrels it is called a twisted barrels and most can’t stand up to the pressure of modern shell loads (aka they blow up). But that dates the shotgun to be at most the early 1900s, but maybe even late 1800s. Anyway cool piece of history.

Neuman and Company were located in Liege, Belgium, from about 1860 to about 1930. They were excellent quality guns, and their manufacturing methods were the most modern. They used the latest techniques and the finest materials. The guns were distributed by Hartley & Graham of NY in the 1890s and by Schoverling, Daly & Gales of NY in 1903.
They're sought after by some SXS collectors.
